Lumia 620 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 msm8277 chipset. According to manufacturer's own information, chipset supports fm radio. But there is a footnote: "Requires additional components".

https://developer.qualcomm.com/sites/default/files/snapdragon-s4-product-overview.pdf

What are those additional components? Headphones are always needed (antenna). I think Qualcomm does not mean this. There might be some other components.

If I was a Nokia marketing director, I would tell everybody if fm radio will be supported in the near future. I think there will not be fm radio at all, even though there are some rumours telling WP8 Apollo+ update includes support for fm tuner.

> In reply to SuperNexus @ 2013-05-15 15:36 from bCX$ - click to readWas just reminded of the other pros the 620 has over the 520 (front cam, NFC, CBD, etc). I feel like the battery life might be that much of an issue for me but I wished Nokia made the screen a full 4'. Also, to the other user mentioning scratch resistant screen, the 620 still has a hardened glass protecting it and it is a Nokia after all so I imagine it must be as durable as the 520.

> In reply to nokiafan77 @ 2013-05-15 16:44 from YTSQ - click to readI understand because I feel the same way. It will be best smartphone if it has decent battery back-up.
and
I also purchased Lumia because it is Nokia phone not because it is Microsoft Window Phone.
and I bet WP will be in disaster if Nokia isn't with Microsoft. Only Nokia can make WP successful.

I just bought Lumia 620 about half month ago. Personally, I don't really like wp8 but I just give it a try because I'm Nokia fan. My overall impression is that wp8 is very smooth, simple, and easy to use, and the UI is very unique that make me feel it is a modern UI as Microsoft said. However, I can say that wp8 is not a mature OS yet, it needs alot more improvements and features to be added. I hope that Microsoft will not disappoint wp8 user.

After buying L620, I feel that I should have bought L520 instead. In my country, L520 costs $180 and L620 costs $250, and I just feel like L620 is quite overpriced with some cons compared to L520 such as smaller screen, very very poor battery life(big disappointment for me), no IPS to protect screen from scratch, and now plus no radio :3. I know that L620 has some pros over L520 such as clearBlack display, LED flash, front camera, NFC, and some other features, but I really feel that L620 should not worth that extra $70.

> In reply to J @ 2013-05-15 15:18 from LB2k - click to readYeah! if you see L520 price and specs, it is to be higher rank but L620 have lots of features which L520 doesn't have.
But the only reason I like L520 more than L620 because it has surprisingly very good battery backup.

I am hoping that GDR2 will solve that issue and some others too.

> In reply to SuperNexus @ 2013-05-14 12:57 from bCX$ - click to readYou know, when you think about it the L620 feels like the entry level model as opposed to the L520. I knwo they're bot hon the lower end but for the very reasons you listed the 520 seems to be a higher ranked phone (Aside from the lack of LED flash, which is the edge of the 620)
