But I think Nokia should offer all platform phones, because you never know which platform become the famous and may be leader in OS market. It will also give consumer choice. It is very normal today that people have more than 1 phone. So, if people buy a Window phone then normally people don't want that 2nd phone also be Window. They'll buy another OS phone.(According to my locality research) now here Nokia can also target by offer them choice,I mean other OS phone which is available from high end to low end.
Anybody got their lumia 620 out in mumbai ??

Engr. Dugay, 09 Mar 2013Good day again bro, i would like to ask something.
Its all about comparing L620 and ace 2 '... moreif you don't mind I can also try to answer this.
First of all Ace 2 have PLS(Plane to Line Switching) screen not IPS(which is one of very costly & good screen). PLS Screen is good with very good viewing angles but I doubt that it will better than Nokia L620 screen which has Clear Black Display.
Both phones have HTML5 browser, Ace 2 is about to get Jelly Beam or may be on Jelly beam so, browser will not be your concern, its not like that L 620 browser is better than Ace 2. Both phones have a decent browser and performance will not be an issue in both phones when it comes to browser.
Engr. Dugay, 09 Mar 2013Thanks for that info bro. :) By the way, do you have this handset(L620) already?I wish i could say yes....already pre-ordered now just waiting the arrival D:
It’s not true..I have purchased a nokia lumia 620 a month back…I have faced 3 major problems..One is batter backup which doesnt even last for 4- 5 hours even when i’m not using the 3g or 2g… wont belive even when i kept at fly mode the battery got down withing 4 hours and morevoer i have faced a problem where the mobile got hanged few times and when i tried switching on its not happening ..all i have to remove the battery and put it down and switched on …When i scroll the menus the system get freezed for a while and then it works (It happened twice) i also reset the factory settings twice but still facing the same... So beware.. Before buying check once or twice and take your decision … I have suffered very badly that too fighting with customer care… My voice been still not heard…
Athull, 09 Mar 2013Lumia 620 has better display u know?
Samsung ace 2 is plain IPS tft lcd while NL620 is Clear ... moreThanks for that info bro. :)

SuperNexus, 09 Mar 2013Yeah! I totally agree with you, that was the reason of Nokia downfall.
But they can not ach... moreYeah nokia really is dominating WP now with 75% market share. I personally feel they should not have stopped development of symbian, they should have done a major revamp of the os and focus on sub $200 range with them. If u look at the asha line they max out at around Rs6000 and lumia start from 10k so there is this is gap between asha and lumia series that should be filled and if symbian would be still in development they could have launched a really good symbian phone at that range...
Bcos of MS harware limits a wp8 could really never go under the rs10000 mark so there is a need for a good phone from an alternative os to give nokia the headway in that space.
For once nokia should learn from samsung, samsung has a fail safe plan with phones on so many os. I dont think its a good idea for nokia to develop an Android at this point bcos there is simply not enough space in it.
The best thing to do is to go for Firefox Os its targeted on the mid to low range phones and would perfectly fill the gap that nokia has now.

Samsung ace 2 is plain IPS tft lcd while NL620 is Clear Black display lcd which give deeper blacks better viewing angles and much better sunlight readability.
Also spec wise the processor of ace 2 is 800mhz dual core and i am sure snapdragon s4 found in lumia is way more powerful than ace 2 :)
And html 5 is the nxt revolution and a replacement to adobe flash, it offers u lot of high quality stuff in browser and is a future ready tech.

But they can not achieve top position unless they start manufacturing other OS phones.
In 2014 WeB OS(which already start), Jolla, Tizen will capture some market share. If they depend too much on Window only, then they'll never be top again.
Nokia was maket leader in Symbian OS.
Same goes in Window too, they hve nearly 50%(more or less) of market share in Window.
But they didn't choose Android and they allow Samsung to become the smartphone market leader.
If Nokia chooses Android at that time they still be market leader.
Now 3 new OS are also coming and choosing not to them will surly hurt Nokia very bad.
Because we know that when it come to same platform competition no one can beat Nokia but not choosing new OS, man then it's out of question.
I hope they will not do same mistake again, I mean stick with only one platform.
I still think if Nokia start manufacturing Android they will surly hurt Samsung and other companies by a lot and can become the leader in that too. Android is still market leader in OS and according to experts till 2017 market share will remain more than 50% and they'll be market leader and about Window will take time to capture a decent market share in OS.

Its all about comparing L620 and ace 2 's specs. I found that they are almost similar in specs but i would like to emphasize, whats the difference of,
-Ace 2's IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen to that of L620's only TFT capacitive touchscreen.
-L620's html5 browser to that of ace 2's only html browser.
Thats the only 2 aspect that i would like to know. Hope you(and others here) can help. Thanks in advance. :D

But Nokia's mistake was of buying out Symbian. If Symbian was separate company, I think they would have made better progress than Nokia Symbian.
2) They still have Asha series.
3) Their current focus is WP. But Elop has said that they are still exploring options.
4)And I also think they should manufacture phones with other OS as well. Specifically Sailfish OS (Don't know why).
