I thi... moreSamsung's quality is total rubbish when compared to HTC, Nokia, Sony and even Moto. Their sales are falling (they had 40% market share at one time) thanks to their rubbish pricing.
As far as Xiaomi is concerned, it is a tier 2 brand and it's sales has affected local manufacturers more than Moto. And by your logic, should it not affect Lumia 730 too? It won't because it has a lower brand.
Moto E is a rubbish phone which performs worse than Lumia 530. But is one of the bestselling phones whereas 530 is struggling.
I am not a Moto fan and have already said that Lumia 730 is better. I was talking about sales only.

Let me show you the proof here:http://www.gsmarena.com/motoro...ews-9219.php
The top 5 vendors in India are: Samsung (4.4M), Micromax (3.1m), Karbonn (1.07m), Motorola (955k) and Nokia (633k).Motorola has raced Nokia already. So no question of brand at all when you compare Motorola and Nokia. Why did this happen? Simple answer is price. Motorola's sales at one time was so bad that they shut down all their shops in India. But ever since they brought the insanely good priced Moto G and Moto E, the whole situation is reversed.

Since Moto G has priced 16GB version at 13k, they will price 8gb version at even less say 11.5k. Additionally, people will be love to see 16GB built in rather than 8gb.
I once again say this, Lumia 730 is BETTER than Moto G. But sales depend on PRICE. If this phone is priced anywhere below 14k, this has a chance of beating Moto G. Otherwise it will be a decent bestseller.
Lumia 530 was priced at 85 euros and is available in India for 6800. So the multiplier is 80x. Using the same ratio, lumia 730 (200 euros) should be priced at 16,000.
I think this a good phone at this price. All the features are well-balanced with no glaring shortcomings. AMOLED screen and 5MP front camera are the features that distinguish it from the competition in the price range.

I am not saying the phone will not sell well. I am saying it will underwhelm when compared to Moto G (and not any other phone) because that phone is priced at an insane $189 (13k for 16GB in India). Compare like phones and prices.
