Okami, 26 Oct 2011No Cardslot. No HDMI. No secondary camera. Too small display. No Lumia for me.Don worry, there's 25 gig of cloud storage in windows phone. Also, the display is bigger than iPhone. it's sharp as the qHD screen of the HTC Sensation and Motorola Atrix.
If Nokia Lumia 800 is Good but Samsung Galaxy 2 is very good.....Nokia Spec should be better than SG2
Obviously this is just my opinion,
but I think 3.7" screen is only big enough when you have a slide-out keyboard. Having an onscreen keyboard with 3.7", there is not enough space.
I hope there is a Nokia WP7 Keyboard phone sometime soon..
i don't understand this, no secondary camera for video calls, no 1080p video, no card slot, bluetooth 2.1 while 3.0 and 4.0 is already on the market, stupid micro sim card support only... is this supposed to be a flagship phone? no thanks nokia, this is why samsung, lg, apple, sony and htc will keep eating the market share that one day belonged to you.
I am sorry to comment in this way:
Nokia has been loosing its grip, by just making recurrent models of the same thing. Yesterday, it was N9 Lankku. Except for the OS what difference has this with other phone? For this to pick up market challenge, it should have atleast 1.5GHz Dual Core ARM Processor, with atleast 2GB Internal Memory and 64GB Expandable, 12MP Auto-focus with Tri-LED Flash, if they can't afford a Xenon Flash.
Atleast the thing of boast is Just Mango. Rest features are all Stoney Seed of Mango.
When Samsung has produced 2 tablets, in the recent past, Nokia has only switching between QWERTY, Slide and NO TABLETS. N900 was a thing of Past. (2009 Release).
I am a Die- Hard FAN of Nokia, and look how its making me feel. Very Bad.
Wake Up Nokia.. Wake Up.. Ek Cup Tea lo aur Utto.
seriously? 420 euros? the price is too high for a mediocre phone like that, i'd rather buy a galaxy s2
over nokia 800.
Poor old Nokia,
they cant seem to come up with anything really exciting.
They are sadly deluding themselves if they reckon this latest so called high end Lumia 800 offering is a serious contender to the fabulous Samsung galaxy s2, Apple iPhone 4s, HTC Sensation & Evo 3D, and the new stunning Motorola Razr, just to mention a few out there and more on the way.
Not even a bloody frontend camera, smallish screen with fairly ordinary resolution.
It appears Nokia needs a bit of help from upstairs given there taken on board the Windows OS, regardless wether it's Mango, Peach, Banana, pineapple or whatever.
WAKE UP NOKIA, OR IT'S PRETTY MUCH BYE BYE NOKIA FOR FOREVER!!
Why auto focus Nokia? Please get back to that fixed focus with which you killed many a nice phone on Symbian. Idiots.
512mg RAM and a 1.4ghz single processor... Defiantly getting a galaxy nexus
Funny how this phone has worse specs than the N9...
Also is this the best nokia could come up with?
It is really obvious how Nokia is now run by old school profit minded micro$oft businessmen...
Have Apple and HTC tought you nothing??
can anyone please inform me on an app convertor for andriod applications when using nokia technology ??
One word. Laughable ! This phone is a joke. Hey it's October 2011 now and dual core is a minimum standard on new phones. Only 720p recording ? The Galaxy S2 is Yes, 1080p@30fps I mean really look at this phone. Are they inventing for the past ? for nostalgia ? or the future ? Do they really think they are going to compete with this phone ? in a rapidly changing market.
Not to mention the simple fact that they need to sack their industrial designers. Nobody wants a phone with sharp edges. The phone shape and look has settled across industry and it aint sharp edges. The two leading brands Apple and Samsung have demonstrated this. It just amazes me how square the management team must be to keep putting out these crap phones. They are driving the company into the ground.
As for their partnership with Microsoft, well that aint going to do didly squat if they don't replace their entire management and design teams. There in lies their problem. They need to stop trying to compete no the shape, look and feel of the phone, because that's been sorted by the market already, so they should just follow suit. They need to compete on functionality and features and they aint doing a very good job at that either. It's sad to see a great brand going down and to have a 900 pound counterweight gorilla chained to it, whilst it's in free fall. Just a shame. Unfortunately things are likely to get worse for them before they improve.
Do you seriously think Windows can get it right on a phone ? Your kidding right ? Such a shame. The whole design of their technology reflects the 900 pound gorilla mentality, in fact I would go further to say that their application of technology to the rapidly evolving phone market is akin to a beached whale. It's a non starter I'm afraid. With Samsung due to release the Galaxy S3 in 2012 and Apple the iPhone 5, with rumours of quad core, there simply can be no contest for the likes of Nokia and Microsoft to enter into. That's the reality they face with their current development strategy, plain and simple.
Nonsd card? Nokia abandoned symbian just for this? Wp7 , not impressive! Samsung & sony ercsson is just mid range phone for them forbthe spec of lumia 800 ,steven elop should resign . Or they should improved the symbian more. Nokia bad bad move, waiting for this? Im very dissapointing. Where is the x factor! , nokia still no impact. Expect low sale. What is this lumia ? Do you think this is best? If i were ceo of nokia, iphone and samsung will be no more.
This is supposed to give the ever shrinking customer base something to look forward to Nokia?
I've been wondering, why they always make a good-but-not-good-enough phone. Halfhearted ! Look at its specs : only 3,7 inches while others 4,3 inches, NO CARD SLOT, single core processor, no secondary camera, micro sim-card, no hdmi-port even tv-out... What are they thinking... ? They said it would be their flagship. Oya ???
Honestly Nokia can't expect this phone to get them anywhere unless it's under $300. It's plainly low on features.
We continue to see the plain reason for Samsung, and HTC dominance.
I thought Nokia want to complete..I don't know if they going to make it. No front facing camera, and no card slot. Well, say good by to Nokia..why would they stop something which made them the best? That CEO want Nokia to fail, maybe that is why Microsoft fired him..then he went back running to Microsoft..let's say..power to Windows
