big-G, 24 Jun 2016No Google cardboard in Lumia devices. No VR support.hi, do you have this phone? i did a little research and found this:
although not free, i think this should do. i will still get this phone in a few days. got bored with android OS.
I bought my nokia 830 in April this year but its failing to download even a photo but i can browse. What could be the problem?
Thinking of getting this phone. Anyone here tried google cardboard on this phone? Does VR videos work on this?
I really recommend this. Im a huge lumia fan myself and I have this phone for 17 months now. There are some minor bugs like, sometimes it restarts itself (it's a common lumia thing).. but overall, its great! Camera ir perfect and it's still working fast!
I was thinking about a new phone recently but didn't see anything good enough (930 is also good tho) I think I will have to wait a long time till microsoft will produce something so good at this price range.
Hi, anyone here has the same issue with my phone? The backlight flickers every time i set its brightness to the lowest level.
I have tried hard reset and soft reset.
Currently, my unit is in windows 10 os. Should I start to use windows recovery tool?
Hope you can help me. Thanks

Dheeraj, 20 May 2016Owned a lumia 830 for over a year and half now and loved most moments with my phone. But it's ... moreWhy, Dheeraj, may I ask, if you are so happy with the 830, it is time to move on?
Loepoes, 02 Apr 2016After reading all the problems users are having after updating to WM 10, I have decided to lis... moreI'm running 10 on my 830 and 8.1 on my 640. While I'm not having any particular issues with 10, I'm not yet convinced that it's such a great advance over 8.1 as a phone OS for daily use. Will probably keep the 640 on 8.1 for the foreseeable future.
gaurav bigg, 13 May 2016Microsoft Windows smartphone market share continuously decreasing. But I am happy with my Lumia... moreGood point re Android performance. Had a Galaxy Note 2 for a couple of years. Never mind the wretched bloatware, which WP doesn't suffer from, and which is difficult to get rid of, the performance gradually slowed down over time. Haven't had the same issues with the 830 or 640. Main reason I sold the Note, though, was that I couldn't store my Spotify offline tracks on the card, only on the phone's own memory. No such problems with the Windows phones. WP is a brilliant OS; what a shame the world and its dog are so obsessed with apps - message to Android and IOS users/lovers: get a life!
Anonymous, 17 May 2016microsoft should provide apps for thier phone the machine is just useles without an appWhy is the phone useless?
Ned , 26 May 2016hey guys,
I'm thinking of purchasing this phone .
can anyone who owns it tell me if it's w... moreHi Ned,
I've owned an 830 for about 18 months now. Great phone and I also don't care about the lack of apps - WP has enough "sensible" apps for everyday use. The removable battery and micro sd card are far more worthwhile. Mine is running the Windows 10 insider preview with no issues. These days, though, I use a 640 as my daily driver, mainly because I have a dual sim version, which sadly wasn't available with the 830, and I have need of two sim slots. Camera on the 830 is better than the 640 (which isn't shabby) and of course you get 16Gb internal storage vs 8GB. But at least with WP you can store virtually everything on the card. Bottom line, Ned, I don't think you'll regret buying an 830.
When i originally wanted this phone it was Expensive and so were its accessories so i waited a while and decided to take the plunge and bought a sim free model brand new from Game it came packed with windows 8.1 then upgraded to windows 10 each time it upgraded it got better and better battery life is excellent and i love the design of this phone with the all metal frame and i switched from an iphone this phone is excellent for my needs with all my music and Brilliant camera storing photos on my 128GB storage card i love this phone so much i bought 2 qi chargers a case and a spare battery because the price had dropped from Expensive too very reasonable , i have this phone for Excactley one year and its never let me down, to sum it up its light , fits well in the hand and the phone is brilliant so far so good and i manage too get nearley two days battery life, In all fairness its Nokia Quality and i love mine and wont change it for Anything. I Just does everything i need o and call quality is excellent.
Bargain Phone and so much better than Microsft new range of phones.
