I have to thin lines appearing at both corners of the phone in the screen, is it about the settings? can someone help me out

WhatsApp and Skype don't "always" run in the background. Nothing runs in the background if the user doesn't want it to, in Windows phone.

Windows Phone has a technology called Background agent which runs every 30 minutes for 30 seconds and does some pre-defined work like updating live tile, syncing new messages in Skype, WhatsApp etc.

Skype doesn't run in the background at all. It runs this background agent once every 30 minutes to do its work. WhatsApp takes a bad approach. They emulate a music streaming server due to which it always runs in the background and eats battery. They are fixing this with WhatsApp v3.0 on Windows Phone.

It depends on the network you're in... If your in 3G then its normal that battery drains quickly.. Note that when you're signal is weak then avoid texting because your mobile demands more power to compensate weak signal... Try to text only when there is good signal...

Actually Whatsapp and skype are designed to run in background... In whatsapp it runs in background because if you get new message it pops out in your mobile and skype runs in background cuz if someone call you, you will be able to recieve it.. You can never stop them from running in background but there is one thing you can do to stop battery drain i.e go to settings and turn off the mobile internet.. This helps in stopping the battery drain.....Note that the whole application (whatsapp and skydrive) arent running in background only some process of it are running... dont miss understand...

3) "some kind of problem with find my phone option. it doesn't work with my Lumia 920."
Sorry about this I am not familiar with find my phone option....

4)"camera is not that much good as my old Nokia 808. which deliver very good images in Low light"
Nokia 808 and lumia 920 both are meant for different purposes though both are cameraphones... Nokia 808 has a big sensor which is capable of shooting in 38mpix mode and so the details are very high so you feel that it is very good but on contrary lumia 920 has comparatively smaller sensor but comes with optical image stabilisation and is specailly meant for low light photography and everyone knows that it is the king in low light photography... due to optical stabilisation lumia excels in video recording i.e it provides excellent video even when your hand is shaking.... What i mean to say is 808 is meant for high detail photography and lumia is meant for low light photography... you cant compare both because they are meant for different worlds.... and also consider changing the settings in your lumia it might help you....

Press the on/off buttun and the volume down button stimultaneously till the phone vibrates after about 10 seconds. If this is any software problem it should be fixed under the warranty.

Hi folks, I need help. I bought this fon on Friday from a shop in ghana and I am not happy at all. The fon got frozen last night at about 11pm and it is still frozen as I send this message. I have tried to put it off but no it won't go off. The screen shows "Resuming..." I will be returning this fon to the shop. Has any one experienced this?

I am using this phone from last one week and faced a few problems.

1- battery drains very quickly if use mobile even for texting.
2- can't stop whatsapp, Skype , they always running in background.
3- some kind of problem with find my phone option. it doesn't work with my Lumia 920.
4- camera is not that much good as my old Nokia 808. which deliver very good images in Low light.

now I am missing my old Nokia 808. Please Guide me what to do with my mobile and how to stop these apps . I can't stop them to run in background.
