Good news for lumia lovers in INDIA... The nokia lumia 920's official web page is down. I checked it at 11.54pm local time today. This indicates that there's definitely something cooking inside - hopefully they are updating official web page for lumia 920.

This leaves a clue that the official launch is not too far away now.. May be tomorrow (based on live chat with nokia representative which also pointss to the end of the first week of jan i.e. they presume from 1st to 7th). So cheers guys!! Fingers crossed!!

Here's the web page :

But hey, they did it deliberately and they have to fix it now-it may be done any moment from now,check-

But at present it may hamper the Lumia sales. Nokia will suffer a lot coz majority of population rely on Google's products and services. Thats the matter of concern.
What if Google is in game to introduce it's desktop OS ???
What's the future can't be said.

> In reply to Marc @ 2013-01-06 15:07 from L135 - click to readHi Marc,

1) Don't go. We welcome critics.
2) I appreciate your concern for others.
3) As I have said, WP7 was a desperate attempt not the best attempt. It was based on CE kernel which is a bit limited. But the new NT kernel is better and recent, and it will take some time to establish itself. It will pick up its pace. Lets consider this as a public beta of WP8. Wait till it matures. Thank you

If you like your WP phone, I'm happy for you.

Your happiness is what really matters.

I am sorry if my comments offended someone.

I will not post here again.

Good luck for all.

> In reply to IchimaruGin @ 2013-01-06 14:36 from vG14 - click to readMaruti/Suzuki are not the best, but they are not the worst too, I believe. Because, unpopular cars are either very expensive or very bad ones.

Every tech site I ever read (except official WP fans) regarded WP7 OS as unfinished and limited. Oh, and many people from India on Nokia forums agreed with that verdict.

> In reply to Marc @ 2013-01-06 14:23 from L135 - click to readLet me tell you just one thing....Maruti Suzuki cars have the highest market share in India but they are hardly the best!

Not always sales are the true reflection of the quality of a product.

Answer ONE question to yourself:

If Windows Phone is so good (easy to use, functional, is integrated with Windows ecosystem), why is it so unpopular and losing market after 2 years of development? (WP7 had most of the features and mostly the same look as WP8). Remember that WP7 was pushed hard by such giant companies as Microsoft and Nokia (plus HTC, LG, Samsung). So why Windows Phone is so unpopular?

As you can see, it is not logical: good product+strong partners must lead to success. So let's think, we don't have a success and we have strong partners (at least with WP7, now Nokia is a lot weaker). That leaves us with a bad product to blame.

Uh, Nokia Maps, Bing, Vimeo which are all far superior and respects your integrity.

Also... Anyone using Gmail instead of Outlook.com deserves to be ridiculed. Same with Google Drive (Skydrive) and Google Apps (Office Web Apps).

OK, Lumia could happily survived without Google maps, but what about other wdph8 OEMs with poor bing maps ??
So sad, no more Google maps support to Window OS.
