> In reply to Chimeric @ 2012-10-20 08:11 from 7q53 - click to readWell, it's trial OS by an OS manufacturer who's dominating computer market ever since int's first windows platform.... So they do know how to build an OS, and people can trust them with it. Plus Apple started making phones only 5 years ago, Nokia has been there since eternity now and do know how to manufacture a phone better..... that's why you'll never have to hold nokia device in a specific way to make reliable phone calls... That's why Nokia won't screw up with chipping issues or Defective camera lens or blundered Maps, Jeez, when apple released iOS, in its first 2 incarnations it was not even able to forward the text messages, it was that primitive.... So WP8 will always be a better experiment than Horrible iOS..

public are automatically developing more and more interested on window 8 platform now.
Just watch, even top-end LG Optimus G or ASUS padfone 2 with the current fastest Chipset "S4 pro" launched ahead of Sony Odin, Yuga.... still fails to create public attention.

yes this phone is compatible with almost all of the frequencies used around the world, so an unlocked 920 from the US or Europe will work in India.

Pardon my ignorance, but can i use a Lumia 920 in India if I buy an UNLOCKED version from US?

Best Buy is offering non-activated Lumia 920 @ USD 600. Can I buy this and get it unlocked and use it in India?

just imagine what will happen to Nokia Maps if they went android.. At least with winphone 8, Nokia has a say with the OS.

Anyway, Lumia 920 is one of the best phone yet..

> In reply to lawlee @ 2012-10-21 04:52 from 7Cgg - click to readGoogle did not 'reject' Nokia by prohibiting it to use Android, no, it's not like that. They just allowed Nokia (and anyone else) to implement their OS exactly the way how they offer it, with an exception of a tiny UI customizing, (eg, touchwiz or sense). That means Nokia would not be able to change, design and adapt any software piece to fit their hardware criteria. But Nokia unlike Samsung, Htc, etc, functions as a big entity including one of the best soft development dept in the world and an amazing R&D with focus on innovations (inventions). The android way would be just a cpu/ram competition with others. Microsoft offered to Nokia dev team permission to develop and change WP and to write their amazing apps on it any way they need. It's very clear that Elop's choice is damn logic and absolutely right.
