Android vs Google :
apps that im missing on windows are:
Cons i have noticed so far.
1- when you zoom in a picture you can fluidly move around the picture.
2-volume controller sometimes works for media files some times it dosnt.
3-wifi does not connect automatically in fast speed, no, you have to wait around a minute for it to connect. sometimes i have to go to wifi settings to select the hotspot.
so far these are small cons i found... waiting for 8.1 i heard it has a notification panel... lets see what it will bring...

Hi guys! Just wanted to say few words about WP8.1 on my 925. Installed it yesterday via Preview for developers program. I am not a developer, just joined program to get an early updates. :)
At first, I had a problem with Store, just like most of the world, but today everything works fine.
Phone seems fluid, just like before, but we'll see about that in next few days. Good thing is that you can pin smaller tiles, wich looks preety cool, after you get use that everything is smaller. :)
Action centre Works great too! There is no need to have separate tiles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc...
Cortana? I don't have her yet, since I am not from USA. I Know, I can just change my region, but, don't think I would use her, so why bother?
These are my First impresions after few hrs of using 8.1 on my 925. I will post about batt life and other things after a little Research.
If anyone have a question, I will be glad to help! :)
Jonathan, 14 Apr 2014hello dear friends.first i love this phone and decide to have one but after little search in t... moreYes you are right... There are so many people are posting here about the the lack of apps, in my opinion the apps that they were talking about are more on games... Guys if you want SMOOTH, SEXY, SAFE, GORGEOUS phone go for WP. If you guys love to play games then go buy TABLETS. In my experience WP is like a desktop computer, laptops, netbook... You can play, browse, do your assignments or do your job using office apps. WP apps is catching up so no need to worry about it, just be patient and wait... Andoid? well, i only using it to play games... I am so exited with 930...

hi people does anyone know what app to downlaod to watch vidoes from youtube.my 925 say file cant be opened
for people confused between Windows and Android...
before 2 days i bought Windows OS Lumia 925 due to the reason the lcd of my nexus 5 broke down and its not available in my country so i ordered one from china which would take 1 month.....
so i was confused in my price range i found many options like sony sp, sony zr, moto g, lg optimus pro,.. but being a nerd for mobiles, i never tasted before windows and wanted to take a byte of it.... so i took a u turn fron android and bought lumia 925,
from body point of view,.. its literally beautiful, every angle and every thing about its body is beautiful i dont know why people treat htc like one of its kind but this nokia 925 is way more stylish then htc.....
now about software .... for last 3 days continuous experiments and usage i must say i love it. i am not saying i hate android. but there is some sophistication about windows. It definitly feels like and Operating system. there are many apps missing but its true most famous apps are available so i dont find any problem there. infact im enjoying it soo much that i have decided to sell my nexus 5... Android in my opinion is best for tablet use.. why ? well android has complete entertainment package, which windows lack. with a tab and Android os u can enjoy millions of games ...
but all in all i would highly recommend windows phone to any android user. its really nice... and my future phone for next few years will remain with Windows OS

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2014Dear 925 users, I am split between Nokia 925 and Sony Xperia ZR. Please help me here. Here is ... moreThe battery to begin with on the L925 doesn't meet your mentioned needs, you can get 4.5 hours or 5 hours of continuous 3G usage max, so you'll be likely to charge it twice a day and for that issue there's an accessory for that which is a nokia usb charger so you can always charge your phone on the go, the USB charger gives you two full charges.
about 3G connects I haven't faced any problems with it, although the connection drops a little in some underground malls or apartments with concrete walls, But I believe it's an operator issue so you'll need another user to confirm.
I don't know about maps in your location but I'm from Egypt and the maps are quite good here.
the camera good and the nokia cam apps are cool and you get free office with Windows phone, I haven't really used it though, I don't need it.
Windows phone is a lag free OS. applications don't crash at all (facebook, twitter, music etc). only Subway surfers started crashing after the Mexico Update.
The only thing Xperia ZR has over Lumia 925 is the battery. Both are great phones though and I was really confused between them. I ended up with Nokia though because I love nokia and I preferred the AMOLED display, and I don't think there's a bad decision here, good luck :)
Dear 925 users, I am split between Nokia 925 and Sony Xperia ZR. Please help me here. Here is what I need from my phone. A decent battery life >no multiple charges in 24 hrs. Sound build quality> Should not fall apart easily (sh*t happens!). Navigation and offline maps are important to me> phone likely to be used in Africa, South west asia (I think HERE maps are not very detailed there). Good reception especially 3/3.5/4G> It will be my connection to world as I am expect to roam in poor coverage areas with no broadband connection. Video/ Skype calls over 3+ G networks. No surprises when you end up in new country>e.g. network connections, software/ map licenses etc. Casual e-mails, gaming (not a hardcore gamer), a reasonable camera, and social networking> I am not a FB etc fanatic but occasional connectivity is required. Some degree of security of personal information (I know it may not be entirely possible). Office/ business apps for productivity etc preferably free.
I have got my hands on Androids but never on WP. Replies from L925 owners are much appreciated and thanked in advance.
mydo, 28 Mar 2014hi all i have lumia 925 since 5 days ago ...before i had lumia 720 ...everything about l720 w... moreI'm using 720 and its awesome. Already four months and no major complaint from me.
Can we copy images, songs, etc of 925 phone to Laptop with Window 7 easily? and can we copy songs, images from Laptop running Window 7 to Lumia 925?
This is a great phone from Nokia. Probably one of the best on the market. The camera is amazing and shoots great low light pictures. With moderate use the battery will last about 35 hours. That doesn't mean leaving on my wifi, bluetooth, and staying on the phone for hours. Windows Phone 8 has great battery saving features so you may get your battery to last longer. The phone only needs a dual core processor because it is ten times more efficient than Andriod. All around a great phone. Plus, you can link to your windows 8 devices. For an added bonus you also get 7 GB on Skydrive (know as OneDrive) storage.
This is a great phone. I'm a medium net user and about an hour need to talk in a day. So that I need to charge my phone after every 30 to 35 hours. Means it backups great. And the operating system is great. I can share my files photos video's via Bluetooth or email. But there is a lack of available software.
the camera is great great great. This is a camera what you want to take with you in your pocket. You will never miss a moment whether it is in night or day time.
