Yesterday i bought myself this model. I preferred this one and not other N, such as N90, because it has it all at a good price. I was stunned when i found uot that n90 has't vibration.Even if is a little bit too slow, N70 is full of good functions and characteristics in a serious design(with a little aluminium of the front side).
PS - the package is very satisfing...from diplay cleaning material to fashion stereo headset and pc connection cable.
I advise for Kingston Memory Cards ;)
I bought yesterday a 512Mb card, and video recording is just like on any other card.
Kingston Memory cards are well known.
I guess I'll buy a 1Gb card in the mid future...
Nevertheless, make sure the card is a dual voltage one (DV), a.k.a. RS-DV-MMC. Don't know why. I only respect the manual, and it seems this is the best phone I've ever had so far. I mean, it hasn't disappointed me so far.
hey! anyone know if the n70 can be plugged with a 1 gb memory card? i dont want it to lag!! thanks
slow, bulky phone. taking picture is slow... symbian 8 phone can throw into the bin.
I have recently upgraded from a Nokia 6600 to the N70. Whatever I found limiting or irritating in the 6600 (i.e. not being able to move images/sound files from the inbox to MMC, or no support for MP3 files) has been sorted out in the N70.
I have a question though. I have purchased a 1Gig RS-DV-MMC and have noticed that when I record a video on this MMC, unlike the 64Meg original card, it is choppy. When I record directly on the phone's memory the quality is better. Does the size of the MMC slow down video recording? What size MMC would be ideal? Would appreciate an answer.
Got the phone and I think it's an excellent phone. Packed with futures. Some say it's a little slow. I dont think so. Buttons are just right quick to get to where u need, and it fits in my pocket. So many negative ho ho? Do u even know what you guys r on about? If u can design it better then do so...
the phone is not that slow, since its an symbian software the applications can take time, about 2 seconds.
I have N70 for about 3 month and I want to say that it's NOT slow. If you have many items in galery than it opens slouly galery, but messaging and other functions are quick. I'm considering to put new firm. version but with v3 i have no problems. 512mb RSMMC is inside and there's no any problem in speed. So for everyone out there this is Symbian phone and because of this it's bit slouly than the others "ordinary" phones like SE and nokia S40.
For Symbian phone it's not slow, if you dont know what symbian is dont buy N70 or any other symbians!!!!
well, my phone right now is N70 and i could say that i'm satisfied with this..and to all the people who says more of negative on this phone, well i should say, try to make some researches..
Guys..i am considering to buy this phone... i wont wan to waste my money buying a "Lemon"...is this phone really that slow???
i hate phones which are SLOW...my T610 is
kindda slow and its time to get rid of it... any phone with honest opinions?? thanks a lot
If your after a cheap basic h/set N70 Brick Phone that is bigger than the brick this is the phone for you, you need extra large pockets though
Well $$$,uve said uve upgraded ur phone n70!!!!!what do u mean??i.e uve upgraded the firmware or software dear??.n ive also heard that its a slow 1, is it originally made like this or its a bug on the phone???plz advise.
waiting for ur reply,
Hi Guys, I want to buy N70, I already have 6680 but for 2MP cam i want to buy N70.Does any one knows it have (QCIF) Or (CIF) video recording,And i read the reviews that its software is too slow please tell me its speed is better than 6680 or not,
Thank You All,
The other model of N70 without 3G like N72
i was looking for a new fone a week ago and i tried to read reviews bout the 6680 and n70. i really wonder why compared to 6680 the n70 reviews are more of the negative nature. is it really that bad? it has excellent features but doesn't it function well? most reviews say that it is slow, really? i bought the 6680 instead.
Hi There. I would like to know which color is better?
The silver or the ivory?
I would suggest this phone is glacially slow.
I put in the bigger memory they said it would speed up it didn't.
It drops the call more often than any phone I have had for a while.
Worse still it makes no indication the line has dropped so you end up talking to your self.
The mp3 player is ok but returns to the start of the track if you get a call.
My ring tone changes for no apparent reason. The navigation is torturous and I think extremely awkward.
Did I say this phone is sssllloooooooowwwwwwww.
Boot up takes for ever.
Get off a plane in another country and you've got your bags and are in the taxi queue before it has found a network. So many things wrong with this phone I'm sure I've forgotten all of them. My advice is steer clear the OS is very poor they have to use something better.
I really hope Nokia read these things and if they dont I hope users will and avoid this phone
