i love this phone, ok it has some slow start ups, but it dont bother me. the only issue i have with it is, when you download themes with dark backgrounds, and then when trying to text, this phone keeps your theme in the background, so you cannot see the letters that you are typing. the answer is to use only themes with light backgrounds. but other than that, i love it 9/10

Someone asked about intalling new firmware. As far as I know, it is not possible to upgrade your firmware yourself.

For Sara.....if you have the keypad locked and open the shutter for the camera, the phone unlocks and you have access to the menu, gallery, all features. Once u close it u need to lock it again. Great phone though. Not slow for me.
Still trying to get the font on messages bigger though....anyone???

I would like to add another thing. Horrible backlights for the keypads on this phone. You CANNOT see the green or red button.

I own one. Most Nokia phones are slow at start up. Meaning when you turn it on, it took awhile in order for you to hear opening tune. I own the Nokia 8800 and this Nokia N70, so believe me when I say: "Nokia is slow at start up". For some reaons, I could not listen to the FM Radio on the N70 while I could with the 8800. Another thing, even with the software, I could not get the program to run and / or could download any wallpapers off of it. 4 out of 5 stars for both N70 and 8800. I sold the Nokia 8800 on ebay for $699.99 + 39.95 shipping = $739.94 ... I recently purchased the Motorola V3x for $539.00 ... I will receive it via USPS Express Mail.

For butterfli:
No need to consider, just BUY N70 now.
The fon isn't slow but u should test it when u're buying cos some N70s might be slow. I bought this fon a week ago with my friends. My friend's N70 is slow but mind isn't.
The fon looks fantastic n feel like u hold a metal fon not like plastic fon such as 6680.
The camera is superb esp the Vid recording, no fon can compare except N90. The sound is great too.
The slightly disappointed is the keypad is a bit small.
U can't go wrong with N70. Come on, don't mess ur mind. It's even better than N90. I sold 90 n go for 70... The right way!!!
U can mail me if u want to know any about N70.

HI Guys,
I just owned the phone for 1 month and now, it's residing in Nokia Care centre for 5 days of servicing.
Not sure if it's the software or wat? But the ringtone does not get preset as what was selected and it's really very slow. The phone also hang by itself.
So for those who are really thinking abt it.. do think 2x abt it. Now, i am considering changing to V3i

Hey Sara!
I know how to lock the N70 using a security code.
To do it, you do these things.
Go to settings, security settings, phone and SIM, scroll down to Autolock period & change it (min. 1 min)(the lock code is the default security code 12345). You can change the lock code to anything you want its just the next setting after the autolock period.
After you have set the autolock period (for eg. 1 min), don't touch the phone for 1 minute and after that you have to enter the lock code to unlock the phone.
I really hope this helps Sara!!!!!!!!!
Byez, byez,
Feel free to ask me any questions to this reply.
