i got to check out a test unit from my friend who works at nokia here. i didn't get to use the menu much, but the speed is about average. not that fast, but maybe better than the n80 (never used an n80). he said it uses a 220mhz and the 300mhz one is only for n93, but he might be wrong, i dont think he really checked on it (but http://3lib.ukonline.co.uk/s60history.htm confirms it...)
camera is ok. i didn't get to upload anything to a computer so im not so sure. not much shutter lag. im a nokia fan, but even i have to admit that the xenon flash brighten things up much better. i would trade its light for the k800's flash if i could.
what really sucks about this phone is the keypad! really small and i keep pressing the side buttons constantly since the number keys are so narrow. but im glad they put a joystick cause the n70's direction buttons were way too small for me. it generally feels bulkier than the k800. the screen is too big and the keypad is too small. they should have just used a smaller display since there isnt any wifi anyway.
get this phone if you prefer smartphones over SE type interfaces. also the video recording is MUCH better than the k800. the screen should have been smaller, imo (.2 less). sorry, but i forgot to test the audio and battery stuff.

if it features the Feature pack 1 it does, who knows... i read in some review the n73 had the same processor that the n93 that its 330mhz but someone here posted that the n73 uses 220mhz, i will get this phone as soon it comes here. i hope cingular picks it. if they do cable & wireless pa or movistar will do too, then i can go to the UK, PA, US, without a problem :) EDGE in the US, PA and 3G in the UK

in malaysia n73 is cost about rm 3100 (original set) AP set ( rm 2900+ )

To people like Andy Burgin: There simply is no telling whether or not n73 will beat k800.I have absolutely no problem with the flash sh*t you punks have been arguing about.There are two factors that will determine which will stand out in the long run.The fact that Nokia is the most popular phone company in the world and that cybershot is the most popular in terms of photograhy.

as you would take pics in total darkness so often, if so wouldn't be easier to turn the lights on? even so i dare BY Experience nokia flash are powerful enough for close up picture.
as for the widearea i doubt SE xenon flash will be powerful enough. the rest n73 is better

LOL! whats wrong with an LED Flash? have you seen them? they are powerful. my Sharp 902SH has a 7 colour LED Flash and its also powerful enough to function as a TORCH. and YES LEDs are powerful. you just never see white ones.

OMG!! The long wait is finally over! I can't wait to have one for myself. Good thing that Nokia released it on time. But I'll wait for its reviews to see if it's really that good. I've considered this phone over the SE's K800i due to many reasons but choosing between the two is hard. Though it doesn't feature a 352*416px, 240*320 is fine with with me. I've always wanted a phone that has large display- it's a pleasure for viewing stored pictures and videos. Moreover, it's lightweight, slim and has all the features that I needed. I'll wait a little longer until the price drops--it's VERY expensive!!

The N73 runs (an) OS9.1 so it is ALWAYS better than the K800 or whatever SE phone.

The flash on the K800i was not like the one on the K750i which helped you see what image you were going to be taking,so your taking a photo but can"t see what your really taking,i hope the light on the N73 can match or be the same as the K750i,the N73 will either beat or match the K800i so people lets wait till someone gets the N73 an see if it will beat the K800i,i hope it does as the design of the K800i was not as good as the N73 so lets see now whos going to be the best seller(the N73 looks better)but wait until i get the N73 this week an glad i hope i have waited for it cheers Nokia

Lol... Typical SE fans, only look at the ONE thing in the specs which SE has got it better in. And then suddenly the K800 is a better phone, because it has a stronger flash!? XD We donīt know that yet, we must wait for the release. Then weīll see. And even if this phone would have a lousy camera and average audio quality, it would still be lightyears ahead of the K800 in features, and most of all - design.
And if a phone has got the looks and specs of the N73, then I donīt give a dam what kind of flash it uses...

this loks like a good mobile but in the sound and camera department it losses big time in front of the k800
would you buy a camera with a xenon or a led let's get seryous
nokia is nokia and sony is sony
and i like sony very much you just can't compare a company like sony with nokia(in the camera,muzic department at lest)
nokia buys from sony and from samsung and lg

how can it overpower k800 in its camera capabilities? ITS PRACTICALLY USELESS AT NIGHT!!! It does not have a XENON FLASH, just setlle for a regular led light... tsk tsk poor n73.
