I live in South Africa and got my N73 even after reading all the post about it crashing etc etc. So far I have had no problems with my phone and I don't even have a memory card in it. I think this is a great phone. I reckon most of the issues people have is that they don't know how to use it. So what if Nokia took away the auto keypad lock. That is the beauty of the the phone... just go and download and install applications that do that for you. The Autolock program that you get freely on the web is even better than the one Nokia had on their previous models. So before you complain about anything first do your homework. That why the internet is there.

@ric
I totally agree with you!
N73 is a "multimedia computer". It's not just a "camera phone". When it comes to features, you just can't compare K800 with N73. N73 and K800 are comparable only in terms of the camera.
For the others, go for K800 if you're really impatient about the software stability problems of N73 and want only the good camera, i.e. you want a "camera phone", and not a "multimedia computer". If you still want to buy the N73, but cannot tolerate software bugs, then WAIT, till a stable software version is available.
I agree that currently with S60v3 phones, the software is highly unstable, but think in the long run - once the bugs are fixed, you'll have an amazing phone! Why do you have to see ONLY the bugs (and not see the good features)? Although currently we are helpless at the hands of Nokia, but the problems will be solved soon. I am used to handling buggy software as I am into mobile application testing. And I do understand that putting so many things in one phone and making them all work perfectly is indeed a very difficult task (though not impossible).
In my case, my N73 never hang/crashed/rebooted till date. I'm using it in a 2.5G network (GSM+GPRS). Maybe the crashing problems are happening more in 3G networks, or it could also be that poeple carelessly kept on storing files in their PHONE memory. If phone memory becomes full (or nearly full), then the phone is bound to hang/reboot.

to ashouhdy,
what the heck man? yeh we all got computers but we dont bring it all the time. i've got a laptop but i dont have it with me all the time unlike my phone. n73 is a smartphone intended as a mobile tool for work, business, etc. thus the document viewer. and mind you have my n73, never had any firmware upgrades and still never had any hang-ups or any of the sort. and wont you ever learn that comparing the k800i and n73 is like comparing a whale with an elephant. anyway im happy that youre satisfied with your phone but stop all this b******t about k8ooi is this and n73 is that.

Guys trust it go for k800i ,i sold my n73 cause of its bugs,slow,restarting,freezing...etc that every owenr of n73 knows i didn't wait for the latest firmware and bla bla bla... i want a relaible handset and i found that in the k800 even though its not symbian venthough it doesn't runs word,excel and..etc ,all of us got computers right!!! why open an excel sheet on a cell phone ..!! the differences i found betn. the 2 cellphones ...the k800 never freezes or hangs as my old n73 ..its lighting fast ..takes picture better than nokia and the MP3 application is marvelous and the sound is great ...i was surprised with the real flash it got ...guys the flash is similar to my digital camera!!! the display is same as n73 but nokia got better screen... and the most imp. its pretty smaller then nokia ..the only disadvantge is Sony Micro Stick pro is still rare to find and its maximum capacity is 1 gb till now....also the phone only carry 200 sms no more and stores them in the phone memory!!

I think Nokia should allow customers to buy the N73 ME with lower memory so that it is cheaper and customers can get the black colour set. Basically, Nokia is forcing customers to buy memory rather than something special about the N73 ME!!!!
