Any one can tell me if N73 is better or SE K800i is better. I heard N73 system is still unstable at the moment. However SE's joystick seems to have problems. Can anyone give me their advice. Thanks.
This is a very good phone- I posted earlier that I bought it and I returned it the next day because of bugs and the software is not stable. Honestly, people, it is my advice to not buy it till the new firmware is ussued plus it will be cheaper.
The camera- is beautiful - wonderful pictures taken - its is really great - when it does not hang on you.
The buttons are small but are perfect for texting - the buttons sort of mould to your fingers making very accurate key presses - as is the whole balance of the phone which is perfect and well thought of .In this respect, it is better than the N80 which I exchanged the N73 for.
The screen is great .
The build quality is the best I ahve seen out of Nokia lately . I have had a very sqeaky and loose 6125 and now and great N80 but with a creaky battery cover.
The N73 has Lifeblog 2.1 in it for those who like blogging.
It has alot more prinitng options than the N80 for those who enjoy bluettothing stuff over and Bluetooth is V2.0 .
BUT ............. the software is unstable right now. I bought this phone at a premium price and I had a lot of bugs etc. It makes better sense to hold your horses and wait for the firmware update and the price to drop abit. Excellent phone- the best yet when the firmware is fixed.
I bought the phone from Findland and it was made in Finland. However, sloth-speed-moving Cyprus Telecommunications Authority does not yet have the GPRS settings for this phone. So I had to do it manually and I must have made some mistake. The phone shows that it has a connection to the internet but ALL webpages come out blank white. Nokia has no support over the phone whatsoever either
The idea for Symbian (or software enabled) phones is good. But the execution from Nokia is awful. There are at least 5 different places where you need to enter settings (if you were to do it manually). Nokia software designers must have been drunk or something.
As far as the autolock is concenred, it is either the bigger blunder in the history of mobile phones, or NOKIA is short of cash trying to get 5 euros for the software.
Overall is a nice phone, but to set it up you need to be a science fiction wizard of oz. In the end, making and receiving calls is all you do and you could have done that with a 200 euro less phone.
When is GSMArena ever gonna make the review for this phone....Its already out in Singapore but I need to be further convinced that this is the phone that I'll buy. I really like the phone. Please come up with the review soon as possible GSMArena...Thanks.
Can we play mpeg1 , mpeg2 and avi files in the phone. It also does not allow 3rd party applications
This phone video is not able to blow up to full full screen so even with 2.4" screen also no use.
is here anyone who has a nokia n73 that live for 4 days in normal use??
Demetri, you seem to have a bit of bad luck, since your unit seems to have all the thinkable bugs. ;/ Maybe you should just get it changed?
Btw, where are your units made in, guys? Germany? China?
I am really considering getting this phone! The only problem is, is that i've had a sony ericsson mobile phone since the days of the T68i! I tried a samsung D600 one time but went back to sony and gave the d600 to my mum! Does anyone actually have one of these in the uk yet? I think i'm just gonna have to compare it side by side to the K800i and make my mind up from there! God its only a mobile phone but yet what a decision to make!
Thanks everyone for their help. The new problem i am having is with Internet. It connects fine thru GPRS but a blank white page is shown for every website I try. Does anyone have a solution to this?
I just wewrote the piecve about the N73 below.Sorry for the bad writing and grammar - I'm just very tired !Why ? Because I have been setting up phones for the last 2 days .
I bought the N73 yesterday and I retuerned it today. I love that phone- it is truly beautiful and the specs are good but- the software is full of bugs. It has crahsed and hung on me 3 times in about 6 hours plus there are other bugs. The First name - last name option in the contact list does not work, the camera froze twice ,the email settings sometimes does not regonise which mailbocx you are suing and the alternative Themes are corrupted files ! So I took that beautiful phone with its Bluetototh 2.0 and surround sound 3D ringtones back and ogt the N80 instead with WLAN.
There is no new updates for the N73 yet- it is too new. My advice would be to wait till the new firmware is released .
By the way - the N80 is faster too .It just feels all the more stable than the N73.And it has WLAN.
May i know if we can enable the missed call reminder alert, and also for the missed sms alert ???
Thanks. There are indeed hidden files in the original mem card. After copying the files onto my new mem card, the dictionary is back.
attn: if ur speaker sounds like it is broken..u might need to convert the music files(from pc) to "ACC" format.ive experienced this b4 if i convert it to m4A.it sounds terible(but save space).AAC format use a lot of space but good outcome
Hi, everyone, please help me know this...
I have been contacting several websites for the answer of my question but found reply from none.
I have made up my mind to buy Nokia N73 with 512 MB miniSD card and Nokia wireless keyboard, can I ask most humbly that please, please, provide me the detail of Nokia N73 that how many linked sms messages can be written in it? And how many messages can be stored in its sms inbox limit? And how much % internal memory is allocated to sms messages? Thanks.
What does a concatenated message mean in sms? I own Nokia 3220 in it I can write 6 linked messages, and I also own D500 in it I can write 12 linked messages, but I need to know that how many messages can be written in Nokia N73. Thanks.
to save your photos/videos on card, go to settings and there is an option of "save to". chose the card or the phone. i recommend card, for the reasons I wrote before
Where is it better to save pitures. On the phone or the MiniSD? How do you choose where? How can you tell where a picture is saved?
I've had both n70, n90 and n73 is coming today or tomorrow. I have 256mb cards on both, and I was saving photos/videos/mp3s on card and installing all software on the phone.
I'll answer the other 2 questions as soon as I get my n73. But check the settings better. also check the manual
Thanks Shellshok. The following questions remain, though, if anyone can help:
1. Is there auto keylock on this phone (not the one where you have to enter a passcode. I have never had a phone that did not have this feature.
2. Where is it better to save pitures. On the phone or the MiniSD? How do you choose where? How can you tell where a picture is saved?
3. Is there a way to enter a task that is not related to a specific date? (N70 has this feature)
