if this phone was black, it will look like an lg u830 or a motorola krzr k1m.

nice razr krzr and u830 clone, and has some quite pleasing features but i still prefer the razr maxx v6. looks better, and has just as much features as this one, including HSDPA, bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and all that stuff

This is a nice phone, but unfortunately the lack of an automatic opening mechanism and its weak battery life are deal breakers for me.

I don't get why so many people in this forum are dissing this phone? It looks like a very nice "first try" to me. And for regular Nokia consumers who already use the N-Series phones, wouldn't you like to cut your device's bulk in half without removing its high-end features? Oh, and who wants to be the first in showing off their unattractive 2 pound multi-media bricks? Not me... If someone showed me an "N93" for the first time, I'd be irritated that this person disrupted my attention, not even caring about its functionality. But if someone for the first time showed me an "N76", I'd be ecstatic & eager to know its functionality.

Nokia already knows that they have the best of the best user-friendly software for their phones, it's just the attention that they don't have, and the only way to get it is by changing the designs of their phones. Hence, the N76 was created to change the way consumers view Nokia's products. Nokia is being spontaneous.

Nokia is putting this phone into it's very first "show off" category to recruit new consumers, and right now, thin is in.

As I said earlier, it's one of the most featured-packed phone per cubic millimeter.

Good job, Nokia!

Why not make unique phones instead of copying others man the features aren't bad but still never everyone cares bout the look unless its gonna be in a leather case right now i think nokia should concentrate on puttin the nokia 888 into production that'll get nokia out of the deep hole that your N series brick phones hav put you in. The 7270 wasn't a bad phone for its time you could also change the fabric cover. make more phones like the 7270 or better yet if you don't hav any ideas make an 7270i better yet hire me as one of your designers if you want to think outside of the circle mate my email: nerdsmasher007@hotmail.com (seriously it is made it in year 5)

we don't need a better RAZR. motorola and samsung already give us better RAZRs.

nokia has hit rock bottom and lost all originality. at first they say slim phones are a fad and stick with big N-Series bricks. now they've finally folded and decide to copy their enemy's product.

pathetic.

Simply put.. a better RAZR! :)

I'd buy it, but i don't think i can part from my e61. Oh what the hell, I'll just get this as my second phone!

People, you can't compare this phone with the iphone they are meant for two different users. However, I'd like to see how the iphone does against my E61! The only thing i can think of thats missing on my E61 is a GPS receiver and FM radio and maybe a small little camera but I don't really care much for the camera.

Nokia N76 made in the image and likeness of Motorola RAZR V3 / V3i. PLAGIARISM pure no-entry created by the stereotyped images of thin "TIR" which, in turn, gave the United States "reizora .Nokia is not alone in this, we are ready to progress as a dozen models of different brands, establishment of which it has not been without exemplary V3.Well do not fear the designers Motorola asked trend, which has become a popular domain. The organization of litigation with each producer to do something like RAZR, unrealistic - First, there are too many, secondly, prove plagiarism in the design incredibly difficult.Either Mark biding cautiously, looking at the reaction of Motorola for it was just brought to mind the concept but it was almost the last of the major market players following the path reizora. Now up : Hummingbird announced not to a "simple" 40th, and the "advanced" for the 60th and, in N-serii, which for the Finns like favorite child, it is invested in the best and most progressive.

PingPong,

If you think this phone is ugly....look at the rest of the Nokia N-Series bunch. Either they're too bricky, and yes, I consider bricky over 18 millimeters, or they're too ugly.

This is the first design in which I think Nokia has pulled off successfully not excluding the tech-friendly functionality. Fashionably, I have never liked a Nokia design until the second I laid eyes on the N76. It's absolutely exquisite.

Oh, and "ITS,"

Is there an option for the review to be read in english, because all I see are N76 photos and gibberish accompanying them. Lol.

personally, i find this n76 terribly ugly. it looks like sum cheap toy catered to toddlers.ive always been a nokia fan and thought the n series was a good effort when in comes to design...with the exception of n70 and n91. my grandma could design better when it comes to those two.

but why is evryone copying the razrs? its 3 years since the razr came out and shouldnt that be out of fashion already? nokia should try to have a trademark in their design in which by first impressions, all of us would know that type of design is esentially nokia's. if sony ericsson n motorola can create distinguished designs that are fashionable and yet practical, nokia can do it to without the need to produce big and bulky uninspiring phones.

To Jay84Virgo.Jeremy...

http://www.mobile-review.com/a...-en.shtml... This link offers a review and some more pictures of the phone and yes it does grow on you... Also earlier here I had brought up the point bout 6290 and this phone having similar funtionaliies besides the batttery back-up which is better in 6290.. This article says the same and also says that it's just a tuff choice between the 2... One's a fashion statement and the other a utilitarian... But both are nice and as far as comparisons with Motorola go I wouldn't ever say any brands better than the other cuz every has something different to offer... It's just ur call and the phone which offers the best package to you... To me Moto Razr and all the Maxx's don't offer a simple FM Radio and the picture quality is bad... While nokia has very good 2MP phones be it 6270/6280/N70... I wanted a slim clamshell esentially a music phone and a decent camera.... Before this phone came out I was all set to buy W850i but now I'd rather wait for this cuz the bottom line is that this is closest to what I have in mind for a phone...

I can't even lie, this phone has grown on me, and Im very particular when it comes to cellular phones, their looks, and their functionality as ONE. Its an immediate RAZR-"MAXX" competitor.

At first glance, looking at just the advertising shots of the phone, I thought it was a cool elegant looking phone, but then I looked at the disturbingly large bulge at the top, the bulge on the bottom, and the weird-looking "flat with the surface of the phone" edged keypad, and immediately thought it was a cheap RAZR replicate; But then after watching live videos of it on "YouTube" and viewing the live shots from the post below, I like it alot. The top bulge "ISN'T" that big, and based on the specs and the live photographs of the N76 vs RAZR that someone posted below, this phone is INDEED "thinner" than ALL of the "clamshell" RAZR designs and I'm all about THIN!! As far as Nokia's functionality & personalization, Nokia has ALWAYS been more superior in this area than Motorola.

Now as far as responsiveness to intuitive menus, I don't know exactly if this phone has a NVIDIA goforce card like Motorola's MAXX so this portion remains at Motorola's territory. until further posts.

When I saw that the N76's camera was placed on the back I immediately knew the purpose for it and I love it. You can turn the phone sideways to take pictures with the flip closed using the outer screen as a view finder. I think thats kinda cool. As far as Video recording, I think Motorola's Maxx is superior because the Maxx uses "CIF" resolution recording as opposed to the N76's "QVGA" recording, and we all know how much richer video is with CIF than it is with QVGA.

Nokia's N76 is a GREAT competitor to Motorola's Maxx, because it seems to pack more of a punch in per cubic-millimeter than Motorola does. I think the Motorola Maxx V6 is for "PIMPZ", as Bengal-Boy deciphers it, and the Nokia N76 is for "PLAYAZ", my 3G interpretation. We declare the finer things in life. Lol...

But seriously, when YouTube's back up and running because right now, their down upgrading the site, check it out. Nokia N76.

This link has some really nice shots of the pphone... I was of the opinion that 6290's a better phone but N76 looks too too cool here... Didn't understand anything that was written but the comparison pics with the razr and 6290 help u figure out the specs of this one better and it looks good...
