Guys chatting here about N82: You should think again ... Look at N82 Review, Sound quality is inferior.
Guys, Sound is about BASS ... and N82 has very less of it ... Otherwise, it's fine !
If you cannect it to TV or Stereo System, you'll know about the sound ...

Hello

Does anybody know if this phone is able to "stream music and mp3" to a "stereo-headset" using the bluetooth-function??

Only thing missing is the xenon flash and it would be a totally great all rounder if the cancel key can be placed at a higher position for ease of sms texting. This key is very often used and a better positioning helps. Current user of N73, like to upgrade to a N82 but the key pad is not ideal for me.

@ Shams
I also want the n82 really badly, but i wil have to settle for the n78. If i had enough cash, i would have bought both.
By the way, i think nokia is trying to close the gap on the 3.2mp race. If you look at the nokia phones, very few have 3.2mp cameras. Here is the full list
(n73, n80, n93, e90, 6500 slide, 5610xm, 8800 and 7390).
I dont think it was a bad idea to put a 3.2mp camera on n78. At least its carl zeiss.
If ive got any cash left by august, i will go for the 6220 classic, then i wil get the best of both worlds.

@Jen
The sound quality of the n82 is good. However, since the n78 has speakers on both sides, it should sound as good as the n81 (better). The n78 should also sound better through head/earphones. Hope i helped.

About the casing, im not sure if it can be changed, but the phone does come in different colors. Im not exactly sure about them all, but i know black is one of them

In terms of sound quality, the n78 is better, but the n82 is also okay.
In terms of photography the n82 is better, but the n78 also has a good camera with a lower megapixel number.
In terms of battery life, the n78 should be better because it has a better battery capacity and an improved symbian OS.
About the keypad, wait for the GSMarena review, but i hear it is not as bad as it looks. Lets wait and see.
This phone should have a much higher rating. It is much better than most phones with the market, and has enough specs to challenge the n82.
Its a pity we cannot pick a clear winner since they go out to different people, but you have to admit that nokia is looking hot wit this duo.

The n78 is coming out in mid may (17th may), but expect to see it in your shops in june.
About n78 cannibalising n81 or n82, Nokia will most likely do its best to keep a wide margin btw the 3 devices. These 3 phones are targeted at different people (n82 for photographers, n81 for gamers n musicians and n78 for a combination of everything).
N81 handles the n-gage platform better than any other phone (even n95 or n82) plus it comes with sweet music quality.
N82 is the best cameraphone to date.
N78 is a mix of the other two and brings the features of the high end phones to the mid-range, e.g wlan, carl zeiss optics, gps, n-gage....
If this phone had a 5mp camera and a tv out, would you buy n82 or n95? It had to make due with a few sacrifices.
Im sure the pricing wil play a big role in deciding which of the 3 to get. Dont expect the price of n82 to fall any time soon (im referring to authorized nokia dealers).
Im not sure how they will handle n81 since it came out at a high price.
Here in Kenya, n82 goes for 50,000kshs (500 euros) and the n81 for 40,000 (400 euros), so when n78 comes out next month for 350 euros (35000 kenya shillings), it would clearly be the best choice in terms of affordability.

People you see to be forgeting that N81 is a Gaming, Music and Video device. Pretty different from N78,but yes N78 excels in more things, but next to an N82 its still medium range. As a N81 owner im not pissd because i plannd ahead i bought N81 knowing that il upgrade later this year, although N81 apparently has a major FW update on the way which will add WRT, FL3 and a few other things, maybe even Navi-wheel support in the rest of the menus.
Coolworld
Totaly understand. But thats NOKIA for you, they add something and remove or weaken the other.
