the truly outstanding about n78 are its new user interface, fm transmitter and battery life! hsdpa, wifi and gps in a middle class handset like n78 are clear indicators that it's really worth buying. the only letdown are the 15fps video record & lack of tv-out. absence of accelerometer for screen auto-rotate is not a big deal at all cos you can manually rotate the screen in landscape mode with just a push of a button, which is better than auto-rotate that most of the time rotates the screen when not intended to. the build quality should've also been given emphasis. it's Q3 2008 now and nokia still manufacture low quality build phones! design is discreet and beautiful. i must say more good looking than its lookalike n82. but inorder to look cool, ergonomics and usability are sacrificed. all in all, n78 seems to be more exciting than n82 in a lot of ways, although n82 outperforms n78 in a lot of ways also. it's a contest actually between n82 & n78. n78 is more cool, more hip, but n82 is more capable...

hmmm... i've been reading all the previous opinions of other people... uhmm some says the speakers are too soft and low... what???? pls. people don't believe them! it's speakers are really loud! maybe louder than n95-1 and n95 8gb.. both n95 are my previous phones and of course every latest phones comes out i switch my old phone and go to the new one!

well all i can say on its speakers is a killer!!!! damn! its loud enough! and also maybe louder that n81! so grab one of n78! its one of the wonders cellphone in the world!

I had to use speakerphone to talk to people until my screen protector arrived, 'cause I didn't want to take off the original screen film and use phone without it (to prevent scratches).

hi...any body xperience the problem of disk error while accessing the memory card?
my n78 keep having this problem...n i have to reinsert the memery card very often...and this gets very irritating...pls help

The 6220 classic is gr8 but not a all in one device it has no wifi, smaller screen and most of all has lesser low volume of n78! so its up to you.. ciao!

I was waiting for release of this phone in our country for 3 months. Today I ordered this phone and when it came to my hands...I was dissapointed of speaker sound, I could not hear other people...Low sound. Maybe it was bad phone, I don't know...I returned this phone..Also It does not have ergonomic keypad. Maybe I would get used to keypad, the main reason I returned that phone is bad sound qualit. Maybe it is defect, SO PEOPLE CHECK CAREFULLY YOUR PURCHASE!
I think I will wait fo Nokia 6220 Classic..

so after 2 days of using it..

I find it to be perfect!

there was a time yesterday that maybe i should go back to n82(black edition)
but as i've seen that only the camera is the leading of n82 while n78 has alot...

you can download a landscape rotate so it can be like the n82 acceleromete the only difference is that it's manual unlike in n82 its automatic rotate but i prefer manually just press the c button then it will automatic rotate w/c is gr8! so will really recommend this phone! the loudness of the speakers are best! it clear and loud!

the cam is gr8! its just the same picture captures in my recent n95! so gr8 cam!


all in all!

great phone! most of all the navi wheel! very modern! yay!

and now!

for nokia n78: 9/10!

Best of the phone i have ever used!

i m using it since a week it has a big problem of keypad and it also mostly hangs while using fm transmitter and the set i have is made in china.

there are a lot of bitter people, probably they cant afford the phone thats why all they do is bash it!
anyway, i have a question: it says that it's available in 3 color variants: brown, blue & white. is the back cover the only available in this color variants while front is always in black?

Did any N78 have 'problems' using Nokia Maps? I want to install mpas on my memory card, but after starting it says something about drive C and it wants to use Drive E. Anyone?
