2ndly u must check sim mesgs if there is any unread mesg. Read or remove it .

Can the LED flash be used as torch light?
How long does the battery last?
How good is the camera in both day and night mode?
Is the casing plastic or metallic?
How quality is the keypad? Does it make noise when pressed (I don't mean the keypad tone or beep), the keypad itself. Is it hard or soft?

More than two years now with my N79 and still loving it! Tough and reliable, with great multimedia capabilities and especially that great camera. It's not the fastest or most cutting-edge phone around now, but feature- and performance-wise it can still give some of my friends' Androids and iPhones a good fight, believe it or not. And even with my fully-stocked N97 mini, my N79 is still my primary phone.

lucky enough that i was able to buy a 2nd hand n79 in our place with all its functionality still a-ok...and that was less than 2 years ago...upgraded its firmware and refurbished its casing...a nice and reliable companion in connecting to the world!!!

N79 is blameless, amazing phone, am loving mine, far better than the N82 I was using, and its the first Nokia phone I used that has an inbuilt battery management system. If you plan on getting yours, go for it, you won't regret it. Compare N73 with its mates (e65 etc) N79 is out of its league man!

This is samir, i m using this phone from last two years, i just want to tell u that this i one of the best ever phone from nokia, i jut love my phone
Most i like about this is 5 MP camera with carl zeiss lense given you unbelivable picture clarity..with this you dont need any digicam..
its unique shortcut key will give you direct access to some of your favourite applications..
interchangable back cover give you different look for differnt situations...
its unique navigation scrolling wheel give you very fast access to cantacts and song list...
i just love my phone...

> In reply to bras @ 2011-11-26 04:46 from t7TK - click to readnope friend the housing and esp its keypad(w/c is scratchproof n embedded) lasts till forever...i got an n79 for 2 years now and still good as new. just clean it w lcd screen polisher every now n then and buy a silicone/jelly casing for addtl protection against scratch n bumps and also laced its lcd display w a screen protector and presto u got ur beloved n79 well protected.
