- Can read/write external pendrives (memory sticks)
- Compatible with two different chargers, old nokia AND micro USB. You don't need an adapter, both are avaliable and work.
I love my N8!!

Amazing ! I've tested iphone 4 and Milestone 2.
N8 is incredible stable, fast and the hardware is outstanding.
I have a n97 mini too, the N8 is more stable, and faster.
I passed two months with very bad issues on the N97 until a firmware upgrade, even after, the last firmware is not too stable.
But, on the N8, even the current firmware (relative old) is not freezing or rebooting.
The gaming experience is very good and better than the iphone 4 or on the milestone.
Despite of comments about the end of the Symbian OS I've found all necessary software I need on the OVI store.
The display quality rocks.
ramy , 03 Jan 2011 the battery of nokia n8 sucksssss..it remains 1 day only.. the symbian software is too slow..... moreyes ofcors its slow, what did you expect from an Arm11 processor? It has nothing to do with Symbian, the problem is that Nokia is trying to make a very outdated procesor run modern apps and widgets, which it ofcors canot do. N900 has almost twice as fast processor and struggles to keep up also.
Ofcors HTC and the others would also use Arm11 if it had a chance to run the apps modern cellfone users want, it not like they use snapdragons coz they are cheap and over-powered, but because they are the bare minimum requirement.
Its good you compare it to N97, its 434MHz Arm11 is actually faster than the 680MHz of N8, since N97 was'nt ment to run todays widgets/homescreens/apps, it was made for different tasks/apps and did a better job at it relative to the time of its launch.
Anonymous, 03 Jan 2011If this phone is so bad why is there so many jealous fools on this site .Very happppppy with my N8cause they are jelouse that nokia hit the bar with this phone and mad the best mobile camera to date.
Nice Phone, Just need to format prior to start using it to erase all the unwanted preinstalled trialwares from it (the main reason why it freeezes is all such applications).
And after formatting, it works like a charm.... :)
My cousin bought one of these. The picture quality at night isn't better than led light. Photos are dull and noise is very high. I am very disappointed with xenon performance.
One of the best phone in the world which having all the functionality.as per my experience i feel n8 is the best phone
ramy , 03 Jan 2011 the battery of nokia n8 sucksssss..it remains 1 day only.. the symbian software is too slow..... moredid they rape you? or actually you don't have one?
the phone barely costs $450 USD, and none of the problems you just mentioned happens with me or with my friends.
ohhh I forgot that you post on ......'s page too and always begging for help with that shitty device.
the battery of nokia n8 sucksssss..it remains 1 day only.. the symbian software is too slow.. nt a big difference comparing to N97 .. bt wt i like z most is z 12 megapixels cam, and the usb port..beside that its the same old nokia..and z phne restart by itself.. doesnt worth 600$..
[deleted post]Thanks again for the tips! Love this phone, and so far haven't met anyone in the US that has one.
Heard about the self defense app for the N8? The solid construction allows you to inflict harm on an attacker if you can throw it hard enough. Good thing is that it is not likely to self-destruct in the process. What will they think of next?
