I'm looking forward to full review on the N8 please? :)
This sounds too good to be true.
[deleted post]I do agree with you...
I am also an Indian .. and it is really tough to sell anything but Nokia in India.. It is the most trusted brand here!! I guess Nokia should have 80% market share in our country..I too used several Nokia handsets, but lost my hope on the brand after trying N85 and N97 :(
I have had my share with SE as well. They were at build quality, but got bored easily with both the SE handsets I have used.
Then I tried Samsung (star) and was really surprised!! The change was fresh, and was an worthy experiment. Nonetheless, it has its own flaws, but tolerable.
But N8 really attracted me back to Nokia. Keeping a close watch on Wave & N8. If S^3 proved to be really good will go for N8. Else will get a Sammy's Bada (wave) and will wait for a MeeGo device from Nokia.
Really difficult to stay away from 'brand Nokia' however tempting Sammy handets are. I am an Indian of course :)
[deleted post]Then why Gsmarena do camera review.?? Camera is also part of a phone.. And many users including me wants a good camera on phone, which can takes great photos. Everytime you dont takes digicams in your pocket. You are a previous i fan so you are not looking for camera phone, but truth is there was lots of Samsung/SE fans who were used to b@sh Nokia before announcement of N8, because Nokia have not release 12 mp camera phone.
I am not a HARDCORE fan of any mobile manufacturer, be it Nokia, Samsung, Apple,.. i just look at the price:performance factor and decide which is best. Nokia N8 truly surprised me because of so many features at such a price! comparing to samsung s8500 or anything, i feel that Nokia will outsmart. When looking at a phone, don't go for 1-2 features (as someone spoke about the super AMOLED stuff), look at the mobile thoroughly before deciding because whoever be the manufacturer, its YOUR MONEY that you will spend... :) so choose carefully.
[deleted post]The only reason I seems to be arrogant about N8 because I always tries to defend N8 from bashers. If you are defending anything, sometimes your words makes double meaning and some people see it on different way, just like you.
BTW you are not arrogant about Super Amoled?? Yes, you are.
[deleted post]Btw if you know me for long time, I never said N8 is faster than Wave.. I always says N8 is as fast that 95% people can use it without any problem and I cant say about rest 5%.. Please please try to read my all comment from the day 1, when N8 was announced. Then you will know better about me :D .
The speed of any phone also based on how efficient the underlying firmware is. For instance, take Nokia 5230 and N97 mini. Both have resistive screen, 128 mb RAM, 434 mhz processor. So in paper both should perform equal speed. But in reality you will find that N97 mini is almost twice faster than 5230..
And you are crying that prototype device resembe 85% of final release. No brother, this things dont occur always. For example read the both preview of N8 by Eldar Murtazin. In first you will found Amoled used in N8 is same as nexus one and N8 is slower than vivaz ( 720 mhz Arm a8 cpu + powervr gpu) but in second preview there are lots of difference such as Amoled in N8 is better than Nexus one and N8 is fastest symbian device.. The second preview was also based on prototype. So clearly in final release we can expect N8 to perform even fast. And Damian Dinning also twitted ( http://twitter.com/phonedaz ) that on final release Nokia will boost the display even more.
Great Vid, it can run 7 apps at a time or maybe even more, wow!! watch this vid!
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2010It seems that you are a liar. I have no reception issue with wave. Im also useing Nokia e71. I... moreSamsung ve their own os but sumsug is begging 4 android caz somsong knows that their own os is nothing but a loser indeed, sangtong doesnt trust itself infact.

[deleted post]Hey, you are probably a ifan because I saw the same post on Wave and X10 forum.
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2010It seems that you are a liar. I have no reception issue with wave. Im also useing Nokia e71. I... moreI have heard from a guy who using Wave. BTW read my whole post first before talking such a nonsense. I had said 'most of' nokia phones not all. And Yes, I have tried two Samsung phones (feature phones) in past and I know that you cant all anyone with 1 signal bar.
Niraj, 04 Jul 2010Sorry but I hear that Samsung Wave also has little signal reception issue.. I'm on Tata Docomo... moreIt seems that you are a liar. I have no reception issue with wave. Im also useing Nokia e71. I have examined and found that wave has sometimes better signal reception than Nokia.
Why this phone dont pair with 4" screen but it goes to the rumuor proto C7/E7/N9...?? WHY?
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2010I thought this thread was about the N8? The N900 has a TI OMAP-based CPU which is superior ... moreSlight correction, I mean the N900 has an OMAP 3430 SoC which is Cortex-derived
Sorry but I hear that Samsung Wave also has little signal reception issue.. I'm on Tata Docomo network and to be honest its Signal quality s*ucks but still I'm not willing to change Sim because I found it far better than Vodafone, Airtel, Idea, Aircel etc. I had used Both Nokia and Samsung and find that Nokia phones usually gives 1-2 more bars than Samsung and also you can call anyone with one bars but in case of Samsung you cant..
AMANITA, 02 Jul 2010Android & bada is the future ??? These os lacks support of flash and look at the samsung a... morei agree with you absolutely,n97 unfortunately was a failure(not a complete failure) but then that doesn't mean symbian is a failure!!infact every mobile device manufacture once in while comes with devices that do not cope up with expectations!!i didn't switch from my n85 to n97 although i wanted to!!now i'm waiting for n8 if it comes up to my expectations i'll definitely grab it because it's smybian and more so symbian^3!!
