In this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2t7EvIOvws) which is recorded using the camera of the Nokia N97 you will witness the reddish purple resolution in some dark hue of the Nokia N8 screen. I am currently using the theme I have downloaded in the internet named Touch Vista (7s) - 5th by t7, & the task bar color & the new message editor background color of the said theme in my old Nokia N97 is dark gray but in my N8 it has purplish gray.
To prove that it’s not the theme that makes the N8 screen resolution purplish/reddish, I switch the theme to Nokia theme Blue which I think is pre-installed in my N8, but when I play the video of the Nokia N8 in my N8, some of the dark hue parts are not really dark/black but purplish reddish where when this video played on the computer screen it’s not purplish reddish but really black or dark gray.
I am scared to have this kind of screen in my N8 because I’m not sure if it is hardware failure or software problem or both. If hardware defect Nokia please replace it with a heavy duty one, If software imperfection Nokia please release a solving update ASAP. Hope this issue will be solved by Nokia sooner.
This is Notice to all Mobile users there is no comparsion to N8 with any other mobiles in this world NECAUSE N8 is much far superior then all other mobiles now there is end of discussion please now share onlw advantges of N8 :) THANKS BE HAPPY....
Reddish/purplish screen resolution?!:
It seems most of people here are not aware of the importance of the large sensor size of Nokia N8... It makes a HUGE difference compared to other camera phones.. Don't even think about 12 MP count... That's not a big deal... (For an example, I only take 3 MP photos from my N8 and those are WAY BETTER than my previous Nokia & SE 3.2 MP camera photos...) In fact this is not the first in line.. Before N8, Satio and LG came with 12 MP cameras... But what's the difference...? It's the large sensor size of the Nokia N8 camera...
Satio sensor: 1/2.5"
N8 Sensor: 1/1.83"
Difference is Quite clear.. Satio can't even come close to Nokia N8....!
So, when it comes to camera, Nokia N8 wins by miles... But if you're not strictly looking for camera, then go for any other phone which suits to you.. (Because I'm not that impressed about other things in my N8.. I'm not saying those are not good... I'm only saying, I was not impressed about them as much as I was regarding the camera...)
n8 hav 12mpx cam,bt we can clearly differentiate the blurry pics of n8 at j sight.
Downloaded some hd wallpapers, landscapes and cityscapes and use them as on my homescreens. The amoled screen renders the colours quite beautifully. Now the screen is really something to stare at. Such a beautiful phone. Sob sob.
hi and salam to all? the one who read. i have n8. actually that is not with me till now.
You must see this awesome sliding between home screens on N8!!
Reading this http://tinyurl.com/6e3p5p6 , iam really fed up with my Nokia N8. i thought it would be a good phone! Guys any other phones better than N8?
I 'm a Nokia fan since suitcases units in early's nineteens . Rugged , valuable , great cells , great phones , the first really good OS; T series , e series and others really were one of a kind . But something happens : Steve Jobs on gsm arena and nothing became the same in the industry and it is the message . It's necessary to do something like Android but better and N8 is the best phone I 'd owned but the problem is the simplicity of iPhone . Now I carry both of them and I hope NOKIA you are in the right way. It's far superior in navigation , calling and web browser with flash
Nokia N8 with perfect sliding between Homescreens :)
i have been having the phone for few hours now and i have to say that i sooo love the phone. its so advanced and convinient for all your needs and wants. i have to say that its a must have...

Hey Ronald, it looks like you don't even own the N8. I've used most of SE phones before and believe me, N8 kicks a whole lot of phones in the mouth in terms of camera specs. That is a fact. For an advice Ron, in the future do some research before posting/commenting on something because in the process you could be diplaying the opposite of clever. Like another post said... No hard feelings.
ahmed, 02 Mar 2011for the red purpil on the screen just remove midnight themes and restart you phone.Hello Mr Ahmed can u please elaborate how to remove midnight theme, because i cant found that theme.....
the best phone i ever purchased its better than optimus 3d in every sector......
U r tryin to make a decision between 2 phones which r superior in cam. dept. By this point (also this seems is ur main concerning) both r certainly can b a great choice for u.
So the next step is u hv to eliminate 1 candidate. U can make this easy by making ur own lists of what other things u r expecting on your future phone such as:
- OS: which 1 that u prefer, will it give u better possibility or opportunity for updating, tweaking, supporting new apps in the future - and so on
- qwerty board: whether it's important or smth tat u can live without
- The camera
1) xenon or led flash: is the main purpose for photography or ur plan to have it as a good video recorder device...?
2) MPix, Carl Zeiss optics, wide angle lens, Exmor-R sensor: just be confident with yourself that the most important point in creating great results is YOU!
- Reviews if you think this could help you to decide: u knew for sure where to get such fair and objective reviews. Some people might give you their opinions but keep in mind not all of them have chance to compare or having both phones in their hands
- and other points that you may think are important
