Just got my second N80. My first worked great for three years until I salt watered it. :^(
I am happy to see they hold their value. The used one I got from eBay is peppy and ready to surf the net, take GREAT pictures and keep track of my many appts.
Great phone/camera/PDA.

> In reply to Peterbest @ 2009-07-20 13:22 from ji{Ryour firmware is very old. i have the V 5.0719.0.2 and that is also old now. try updating your firmware using the nokia updater software. it fixes ALOT of issues and adds new features as well.

My Nokia N80 is too slow in operations especially when it comes to opening of an application.The music quality is below average on headphone.I'm currently using firmware version 3.0617.0.6.Does anybody know a firmware version that is better than v3.0617.0.6.Thanks.

Dis ph0ne is great.. I b0ught my n80 last 2007 4qt in 2nd hand but until n0w it is very sm00th to use.. For th0se who have been facing the pr0blem with the battery just make br0/sis what i did.. Buy an original battery of 6120 c0z it is 890mah c0mpare to the original battery of n80 which is 0nly 780mah.. Regardlesss als0 in hanging pr0blem.. First free the ph0ne mem0ry, d0nt use mem0ry ph0ne. 2nd is to check the pr0gram or s0ftware that stil running even f u cl0se 8 already just h0ld the menu key f0r ab0ut 5sec and 8 will display the pr0gram that still running.. Or the best thìng to do is to install pr0gram called tracklist, this pr0gram u can m0nit0r the ram, ph0ne mem0ry & mem0ry card... 0ver all, this is an amazing ph0ne 4 me this is a great ph0ne just kn0w only the limitati0ns & capabilities of this ph0ne & im sure increase the life of this ph0ne.. I l0vd my n80 ie very much.. ty

there is an sms accelerator you can download from the nokia website to solve it
or google it
or just update your firmware version to the newest and there will be no problems

Well remember the phone may still be locked in some options get a full unlock and the latest software done from the nearest nokia center and get the flex cable changed from them its good as new,then this problem can be solved, do not do it on your own tried to do it and it crashes the phone to dead status.
Remember the normal flex cable for this phone lasts about the time said so if a new cable is replaced its great for the phone....
and dont mind it how else will people switch to the N95 if this does not wear off :-)

i love this phone! i have the black edition. Its actually a hand-me-down from an uncle who has been using it for 2 years, and its still working great for the 5 months that i have been using it. however, when i send text messages it takes a whole 2-minutes to send! I have removed videos and pictures from the memory card and phone memory, still the problem isnt resolved. can anyone help me with this?
