Prashant:
if u can wait til March 2006 (probably that would be the latest time N80 will be available) get N80 against W900i but if not get W900i. both of em will cost around $600! so i think its worth the wait.. in case sony ericsson has a new model when N80 is already available by then, for sure it would be more expensive than N80 cuz i think it will have 3mpx or higher sensor lens but more likely not with s60 OS again. if u lyk symbian phones juz go for N80 or maybe 3250 (if ur budget is $400) that will practically give u all what N80 has to offer but of course with exception to 3G services, uPnP, WLAN, high res screen & video!

Anybody knows when N80 will be released in Singapore? Some sites say "1st quarter 2006" - will that be early Jan 2006 or late March 2006 ? Some even said that it will released in Dec 2005 in the festive period.
When contacted Nokia Singapore, they themselves said that they do not know.
Anyone knows ?

This phone considering the specs is just too good. not to mention its design. The thing is how long wil you have to wait for it. It says 1st qtr, but nokia never releases on time from my experience... anyone knows when it might be expected to hit the market... I have been using Nokia for ages and was thinking of shifting to W900i.. as its specs was good. But N80 has me doubting now... but if its going to be released after march and with a heavy price tag i think i will go for w900i or N91. N91 is too bulky thts why i want to stay off.

i agree, 176 x 144 with 30 fps video res is not worth it cuz it will look very small when you watch in PC or TV. 352 x 288 with 15 fps is definitely the better choice!

u cant compare pics yet
its like N90 - N70
the N70 cam sucks reallllllllllly bad
and its a 2 MP pix cam
as the N90 is 2 mega but amazingggg
now the N80 cam should be little better than N90 but not too much just a little
im pretty sure it got Auto Focus
and i also think it has got hot swip for the Cards...
other wise its a Sliding N70
no *3370# will not work on this phone

i understand now what you mean now, i was just saying if u had 2 options and they were to choose between a video with 30fps and a resolution of 176 x 144 or a video with 15fps with a resolution of 352 x 288 which would u choose? id rather have more pixels than more frames per second but if 30fps with 352 x 288 pixels was given together in a phone which hasnt happened yet then that would be the best but right now nokia are giving 352 x 288 pixel resolution on their videos with 15fps and sony ericsson are giving a resolution of 176 x 144 pixels with 30fps, so if i wanted a phone for video id rather buy a nokia phone but anyway i understand your point

3MP for a phone?!!! it's the same as my digicam already! It's phones like this one that makes me wish I have a camera phone. hope this will be available in the Philippines soon. The only latest we have (and with the highest MP for cams) are only 2MP in resolution.

never did i say that videos with 30 fps is better than videos with more pixels. what u juz compared was 2 different video resolutions with different fps, that's completely a different story. what i meant was d more fps a video has with same resolutions, the smoother and better the video will be. how about comparing 2 videos each with 352 x 288 pixels but one has 15 fps & d other one has 30 fps. then u'll know wat am i trying to say to Benson. peace out :)

hey
heres a solution for the battery problem:
Nokia instrument comes with a
reserve battery.
To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this
reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve
will get charged when u charge your cell next time.
however i tried usind it on Nokia series 60 handsets but it didnt worked but it works well on other or a bit older nokia handsets. Hope it works for N80 as well.

When u compared the n80 and the n90 u only compared the camera functionz in them. Camera isn't everything. The n90 is HUGE!!!!! its an inconviniece t0 carry and it doesn"t look that good. Im not saying its a bad phone but it has its disadvantages. the n80 has a pretty good camera, good size, goood looks, and pretty good features over all.
