Ive had this phone for a over a year and i give it a 6 out of 10. The phone is not really user friendly and lags when you have more than 3 applications open. You'll get a lot of freezing so be prepared for that problem. The battery life is pathetic just like any nseries phone because it has a lot of features and applications. Wifi is nice but incomplete and sometimes the internet application will shutdown by itself(pissed me off when i was trying to browse.) Be prepared to wait 30-60 seconds for a webpage to open. On the other hand, the screen resolution is unmatchable to most of the phones out today, but the screen is small though(i prefer at least 2.4 inches.) The camera is decent as in 20% of the pictures wont turn out the way you expect(want)them to be, but the picture editor is a amazing. One thing i found satisfying about the n80 was that the file manager was smooth with no lags as well as 95% of the other applictions. Just exclude the camera and wifi application from this incite.
Overall the phone really does deserve a 6 out of 10. It still is a head turner to people and 3 megapixels is a big jump from 2 megapixels. I recommend getting a car charger and an extra battery.

You definetly had a lemon there, my only problem with my N80 is the loose slider otherwise its a fantastic Multimedia Computer. The navi 'OK' key is fine, its actualy my 1st time reading a complaint about the N80's navi pad, i think its great works very well and easily.
Only difference between N80 and N80-IE is the Web Folder, a few more apps, More stable FW and the colour of the phone (The Internet Edition is black) BUT if you have a normal N80 you are able to change it to Internet Edition by just updating your N80 to the latest V5 firmware.

HI.I like Nokia.I like nserise.i love my n80 and all my symbian's nokia's cell phon.because my n80 look perfect.it is hiclass.when i buy this model ((i see new;i hear new;i feel new!))
Could someone please email me the instructions to update my phone's software from 4.6 to 4.7 or higher?
I had this phone for 3 days and was glad to rid it from my life! I'm not too sure if it was just a lemon but, I purchased this one after my N72's screen failed on me which was also problematic. The whole phone felt cheap to me was overly bulky for what it was capable of. The processor was slow (similar trait to my old N72), the macro swich on the camera lense felt like it was going to fall off. Battery life was beyond pathetic (similar trait to my old N72) and the biggest reason for it's riddance was the "ok" button in the center of the d-pad was IMPOSSIBLE to push without pushing a directional key instead, I had to use the soft keys to "ok" any of my choices which was horrible! But I was dissapointed with the overall price of this phone and the lack of performance and quality feel it had. I'm moving on to try out the Sony Erricson line next...
why are you complaining aboy batery life?
i have my N80 for 10 months now and my battery is ok (1-2 days depending on usage).
anyhow there are some triks to exted batery life:
- switch network mode from dual to GSM
- switch WLAN scanning off
- change battery: intial battery BL 5B
820mAh to BL 5B 890mAh (from 6120 classic)
I've had this phone for almost 6 months now and I've been generally happy with it. The past few days though I've had trouble sending and receiving SMS. I've already updated the software to version 5.0 from the former version 4.0 yet I still can't receive SMS. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Its a good phone loaded with features like wifi and 3.2 mp camera. BUT the battery life is too short. I had similar experience with my previous n70. Is this a common fault in all n series ?
