Hello, I have just realized that my Nokia N81 comes without smileys, and if someone smses me including a smiley, it doesn't show.

Is there a way to fix/enable that please?

I'm also using 6630 and I'm planning to buy N81 in 3-4 days, so if you were satisfied with 6630's camera I think it cant be worse on N81 since it's 2 mpx compared to 6630's 1.3 mpx :)
Anyway, I'm not buying this phone coz of its camera, since I use it very rarely. There are LOTS of other awesome features that this phone offers and makes it worth it's price :)

hey i'm planning on buying the n81 in a few days and the only question on my mind is whether i'll be satisfied by the camera? i've been using the 6630 and i pretty much like it's camera and results.. so if i get the n81 will i be dissappointed by it's camera? compared to the 6630's?

i have my n81 2 weeks ago and i'm very impressive. the navi wheel was so great. the stereo speaker was so loud. noki n81 was so great.

I have some problems
The Camera is very bad,it said 2.0MP . but when I look at my 2 year old Samsung E720 .. It makes better photographs then the N81.

I can install theme's but when its get to 27, it delete's another theme... But the themes are still on the phone, just can't see them
- Music Sync. when i Sync. my music gallery it Crashed.. zo I reboot the fone, do it again.. but then can't find them anymore. anyway. the music files are still on the fone!!
Sorry for the bad english,I'm from Holland.
Hope to get some answers

Forums ive seen seem totaly INterestd in it.
Its ways more because it has a bigger and better CPU than N95, has a DSP, Touchsensetive technology in the upper slide (although the Dpad is the only truly touchsensetive part), Gaming keys, Music keys, larger loudspeakers,and a bigger battery (than N95 Classic),all that adds quite a bit of weight apparently,and its an improvement from N91 weight.

How come this cell weighs more than n95?N95 does ALOT more and comes in at 120grams.I think this will be lil bit too heavy in my pants.

lol nobody in here has a clue about anything.M@T2 is ip for opera mini.N81 is a very ordinary device with various faults.Dedicated Nokia/s60 forums seem totally uninspired or even interested in this duck.

Ye bra,Cell C sells them sim free and unbranded when you buy it cash, mine is totaly unbranded,generic N81.
Thanx for the site bra, when you get yours just tell me, il give you a site where i get apps free.

The WiFi should work with most if not all routers since it supports both B and G Wifi standards.
The sound is great on this phone, has a lot of Bass and Treble, and it seperates instruments VERY well due to its DSP.

I found this site ages ago, free symbian s60 9 v3 applications! softwares! themes! games! the games and themes and softwares are great there! its www.mobile9.com ...then just search for stuff for your phone, though they dont have N81 specific software and games YET,thy will soon!

I have had mine for over two weeks now and I am very happy and very satisfied. I can't fault it at all. It is a nice looking mobile with awesome features. I went from a Nokia N73, hated it and got the Sony K800I which I also sold because I didn't like it. Now I finally have a mobile that I love and enjoy using. Go for this model, best nokia made. This also came with a 2GB memory card in the box which was nice to see considering the N73 only came with a 128MB. Nokia N81 RULZ

Even though this phone uses UMTS that isn't compatible in the US. does the wifi of this phone atleast work and is operational? thanks.

But the sound via headset isn't very good.Do you think a firmware upgrade will fix this?I agree with Microphone being sub standard but that dosen't bother me as I hardly ever use it.As far as I have seen bluetooth seems ok.Nice phone.

Im on a Vodacom Talk130 contract and had a N80, but when i saw this baby i had to have it, Vodacom didn't have it so i went and bought it at Cell C sim free and unlocked so im using it with my Voda sim.
The build quality is actualy realy good, nothing creeks, and its VERY solid, the reviews mostly had Beta Versions of this not Final Versions, thats why they complain. Only two downsides are that the buttons are pretty hard and take some getting used to and 2nd is that its made out of high quality glossy plastic which is a finger print magnet so you have to keep whipping it after a while otherwise its all good.
