I have to give compliments where it due
I have a nokia N73 music edition and will sell to get this phone
So far nokia is the best and this for me is the best phone with all the features a young energetic individual could ask for
Once again Thank You Nokia
From the first time I saw this phone I knew I wanted it. I just recently got a gold Sony W880i. But I'm due for an upgrade soon. The only problem is this phone's buttons which look hard to use and cramed. Also the reports of the platform not being solid are worrying. My other options are the Sony T650 or the Sony W960. Both of which are not in South Africa yet.
From the first moment I saw this phone I wanted it. I just got a gold W880i and I'm upgrading soon. The N81 is definatelly a possibility as I love the looks. I'm not however so sure on functionality in terms of those very unusable looking buttons. Not to mention the millions of buttonr that Nokia has chosen to cram onto the front. I'm also very worried about the rattling and squeaks that are being reported. My other options are the Sony T650, Sony W960. Both of which are not in South Africa yet...
thanks to the EU with this *Volum Reduction Law* its made all N91 users..not like N81!
im lucky to have a 6233 which is the loudest phone till date!!
I love this fone and it's really boostingup my sales over here in nigeria, can you pls nokia, facilitate the fone with a memory card slot to make it more smarter.
this would attract fone users and make it more like a computer for easy sync and multimedia functions
Awww. . . Shame, the N91 users can't take it. N91 is louder thats it.
Hehehe. . .
THE NEXT EPISODE
Realy love the Nokia N81 and N95-8GB adverts! :-D
Great own such a powerful peace of kit.
itz an ammmmazin fone da ngage applacation is soooooo kl bt da camrea cd be better
this is only a suggestion:
take the n81 8gb it is a smart phone yet a music phone and more memory storage...
hey gyzzz.....wats up??:P
i just wanted to knw .......is N81 really good?:P
cuz i think its really awesome buh im confused between N81 8gb and 5610....dey both are great and really stylish buh dun knw which one to take....plzzz advice me .....lolzzz
The sound quality of N81 is on PAR with N91, since both of them use the same DSP and DAC33 chips. The 5700 uses the same chip found on 6290, so sound isn't as great.
The sonic experience with N91 is GREATER because the unit does not conform with the new EU volume standards, thus N91 have LOUDER sound when listening thru headphones BUT N81 is louder than N91 when it comes to loudspeakers, since it has STEREO SPEAKERS. Great for parties and stuff!
Anyway, I tested BOTH units myself with about the same volume (N91 8GB ~70%+ vol, N81 8GB ~40%+ vol) and both are on par when it comes with sound quality.
Even though N81 loses on loudness, overall functionality on N81 is a LOT better than on N91. Not really surprising, since Nokia markets this unit as the most affordable "all-in-one" multimedia device. Price is also good. You get everything in a reasonable price.
My only complaint is the hefty weight.
Nokia could cut down the size of the unit, since it no longer uses the old and sluggish hard-drive based storage medium.
Im sure they would be on par with each other, but N81 beats 5700 in most other things.
compare the phone n81 8gb with nokia 5700 in the sound quality only(loudspeaker and handfree)!!? the best is....????
Can't believ i didn't think of that. Just getting tired of reading comments and reviews saying it has bad build when some of us have great ones, i can't imagine it creeking.
It has Symbian S60v3 fp-1 (the latest Symbian feature pack) which means you are able to increase functionality by adding certain apps for what you want. Maps is there for if you have a External Bluetooth GPS reciever.
hey people im new on these forum things
