I think thats an unfair comment mate, following SE is hardly a bad thing, Ok so nokia is a mbile company, BIG DEAL, SONY has its fingers in all sorts of pies, they have consumer and business experiance in markets where nokia wouldnt have a clue, if mobile tech is moving forward with HD, and all sorts of new gadgety stuffs i wont get into and nokia have only mobile experiance, how then do they intend to catch up with SE's experiance....

Nokia N81 is Amazing set.It is what we are expecting from Nokia.It has 8 GB memory it wonderful.But it deserve a bit high MP camera than 2 MP.

As you may know these handset are set for completely different sectors of the market.
The N81 and the W960 are without doubt music centric phones. I have to say that imo the N81 wins it on looks but for most of the specifications the W960 thwarts the N81.
However there are a number of things the N81 does better imo.
N81
Pros (against W960)
1. Much louder speaker(s)
2. VGA video recording
3. 802.11G compatibility
4. 410 hours of standby time on GSM networks compared to W960's 370 hours.
Most important one for music fans
A built in 3.5mm headphones jack!
Unlike the W960 where a 3.5mm jack is located half way down the Pop Port connector (It does however allow one to use their choice of headset for music but also keep the handsfree microphone working at the same time.).
Cons
1. No 3 Mpix Camera like that on a W960
2. Just 4 Hours of GSM talktime on N81 compared to a whopping 9 Hours on the W960.
3. A 2.4 inch screen (which is quite big) on N81 versus W960's 2.6 inch.
4. Touchscreen functionality.
But arguably for long time Walkman phone users, it's the Walkman software on the phone itself that may clinch it with the four above listed reasons.
Ah, the N95 8Gb what can I say, It's a phone that does it all and does 'em fairly if not impressively well. The only thing that that someone can speculate of it not having is a touchscreen or more importantly a more affordable price tag.

WOW! Seeing a lot of "If only it had a 3.2+Mpix Cam" etc. So, am I the only one left thinking .... "If only they kept the high res screen from N80 you know what I mean. The 352 by 416 screen that made your eyes go funny sometimes because of the stupid 2.1" screen!
Come on Nokia!
352 by 416 would have have been quite a treat.

this is the stylish phone i ever seen !!! but the camera is quite low in pixel and without auto focuz... well nvm... as long as i love the look~ haha~

I can't wait for this to come out! I don't know which to get the, the n95 8GB, the n81 8GB, or the SE W960. They're all amazing phones, and they all have 8GB of storage, which I thinkk is the best feauture ^_^! But I know i'm gonna have a terrible time deciding on one when they come out lol.

Woah, this is some low shttt from Nokia...
We waited looking at a viral website for many days just for such a weak cam, no edge, VERY WEAK 3G!!! and a near rip of the iPod touchsensi-wheel?
Nokia is on the ball of their game... OF COPYING!!

it looks good.. nokia and samsung clearly the most aggresive company in 2007. they announced more product than other company. this one is look good, but the camera is only 2mpx :(

another hi-end phone with lamentable camera. what is it good for? make NO camera, instead something wretched like that - no macro mode, no AF, only 2mpx.

no external memory card slot?
well, i'm a big fan of external card slot,
coz, i love to transfer my huge multimedia files using card reader instead of bluetooth, irda, or any other type of connections. it's easier, safer, and faster
so, i think i'll vote for the other Nokia N81 (the one with MicroSD card slot).

Ok, I give u now some hot news from Nokia, this is from MTV3 finnish tv news channel:

Nokia starts it's music and game shop service still during this year.
Nokia also will bring to the markets touchscreen-based phones!!
Nokia music store starts its service during the fall. From its selections you can download a track with 1 euro, the whole album with 10 euro. Nokia promises that also the local music companies are brought to the service, even more than normally in the digital music services.
Nokia also enlarges its activities from the game phone manufacturing to the game services. Actual N-Gage game service is brought possible already to the today's phone releases. And the games will cost 6-10 euros.

All I think I can say is that Nokia is now really changing for the future.. It's reeally coming more stylish and top-of-the-markets phone with the absolutely unique features. No other manufacturer is giving u such fabulous gaming or gps phones, and even the camera quality (don't only look at the pixels) is competing seriously with the sonyericsson models. But u know, in my opinion, SE is a looser in the features today. But the competiotion among the companies and the fans will go on, and of course that's nice!!
