Try hard reset, press and hold * 3 call and power button while phone is off.
You could try to reinstall the firmware aswell, or take it to nokia repair center if problem persist.

i have n82 firmware v 31.0.016.
i set my powe aver mode to date and time but it doesnt show date time when lcd will off. mean when light gone off lcd seen totally blank.....
plz help

Have you ever opened your n82?, well i actually fix nokias at my shop. I see what you have been trying to do is convince me that 3d hardware is making video capturing better,and as i said before you are wrong.

first of all - no offence- but you are not proffesional, the nokia n82 doesnt use the omap 2420 for camera processing as omap 2420 doesnt support 5 megapixel cameras. Instead they added the goldeneye omap DM290 for the camera processing, it can even support up to 7 megapixel cameras.

The stronger the cameras ( in megapixels) the better processor is much more needed.

Look mr fab i dont want waste my time posting and explaining deep technical stuff. So, heres a list of coprocessors used with highend nokia phones
OMAP-DM290 - n82,n95
OMAP-DM299 - n78
OMAP-DM500 - n79,5800,5530,n97
OMAP-DM510 -n86 8mp

In brief the main processor doesnt involve in camera processing in case of strong cameras. and as you see, as the series goes the processors gain more features
just for e.g dual core - core 2 duo - i7.

Now we are talking about the main processor we have single arm and dual core. I know this will take time to explain so..., I personally prefer single arm goes for n78-n79-n81-n86, why? ok the maximum clock speed of these are 369 mhz(excluding n86 434 mhz), these processors at idle are much faster than dual core 332, which is important to me, while at running too many apps( i mean 5-10 apps) dual core well perform better(not like there is no probability for crashing!). who runs 5-10 apps at the same time? by the way n86 has 434mhz which will be totally better than old dual core processors.

I can do a lots of talking and blow up alots of rumors
but finally i need u to know 2 things:

-Nokia doesnt have clowns designing phones at their company, screwing up their new phones and taking advantages away!

OMAP2420 is a complex processor. Not only it has 2 seperate processors for applications and the network, it also has a 3D accelerator and image/video accelerators. Why don't you check out TI OMAP's official website? You can Google it.

Dear Fab; I am not a nokia user my friend, I am a technician, and telling the 3d graphics acceleration was stopped by nokia for following reasons:

-When nokia phones was old 3d graphics did support their performance and only at rendered application (JAVA). shooting video has nothing to do with 3D chip. Still u dont belieive me, the n86 has been proven one of the best video shooters and it doesn`t have a 3d chip.

-Ngage 2.0 is software rendered application that doesn`t need a 3d chip or even use a one. If nokia had built ngage on hardware rendered bases it would have caused compatibilty issues.

-The 3d chip and other superior secret components have been proven a heavy battery consumer, my friend were are talking about a phone here not a pc. On a pc we have unlimited power supply thus we buy heavy components 1gb video ram, that performs well and indeed it doesnt help a computer capture videos at better qualtiy.

- The new software that is produced by nokia is much more capable of runing applications than old ones. When nokia releases the open source platform everybody will start understanding that nokia has high tech workers doing the best that you cant see.

Finally concluding this, i am not against nokia providing them with 3d chip, i mean look at apple games, nokia indeed needs to start supporting nokias with strong 3d cards, and equip the handsets with powerfull batteries though.

By the way nokia phones were not made to compete but rather made to satisfy everyones needs at the right price.

While N82 on the other hand is a true multimedia N-series monster. Would not trade it even for Satio or Omnia HD, so it's understandable that N79 is out of the quation. And yes, i use xenon very often since i take pics on parties.
If u have doubts about the performance try running N-Series gallery or Photo Broswer and u will see how N79 cannot handle quick previews, while N82 has no problem at all. So it's much speedier! Regards!

Thanks Tef5! I just downloaded d latest n-gage software at d n-gage mobile site on my n82 free of registration and charge. D old foolish n-gage application has gone and been totally replaced by d new one and it works pretty well. Thank u very much Tef5, u just made my day!

Hi guys! Does N-gage game really work at all on N82? Bcos i only have pre-installed (demo) Fifa 07 on it which was working before but it has stopped working for now.I'm using N82 version 20.0.062. How can get N-gage games on my N82 fully and completely installed? Thanks in advance.

i bought N82 used but it so perfect mob. coz it has zenon flash & wireless lan and...

but the barcode reader dosn't work well.
its a perfect mobile

buy it and forget to buy any tel else ...

The E90 has a 3.2MP camera lens that doesn't bear a Carl Zeiss label but it beats the 5800's Carl Zeiss camera in image quality hands down. Same holds true for their videos. Thanks to the 3D accelerator.

It has been talked about many times in the forums that it is the hardware accelerator on N93 at the time that made it capable of recording videos in VGA@30fps. But today, VGA@30fps video recording can also be done through software rendering evident on camera phones with poor lens and sensor and hardware platform just like 5800. OMAP2420, which is N82's processor , is capable of VGA@30fps, while the new OMAP3430 Is capable of HD video recording just like OMNIA HD.
