why do you let others decide for you? you decide for yourself what you like to buy. n82 is 5mp, c905 is 8mp but not yet released. both have hsdpa, gps, wifi & tv-out. n82 is a smartphone, c905 is a smartest dumb phone around (dumb means no OS). now you decide...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970N82 and C905 are booth great phones
but N82 offers more great features than C905..
the camera of C905 isn't tested yet and we dont know what its capable of..it might be better than N82 or worse but who cares, N82 still can provide you with great photos.
N82 is cheaper compared to C905, by half the price..
Nokia's customer support is unparalleled, its the best in the world. software updates, add on softwares, 3rd party software and a whole lot more..
Go for the best service and the best value for your money..
Mia, 11 Jul 2008There's Something I really want to ask about coz i'm about to upgrade my mobile phone and I'm ... moreget Nokia N82..
multimedia feature are among the best..
if your into photography, this is currently the best phone in the market.
i don't think their are phones from SE that can level the capabilities of this phone.
N78 is a good phone but its not as complete as N82 and N82 is cheaper than N78
the features are awesome but i don't like the design of this phone! if only dey made it into a monoblock qwerty keyboard it shud have bin better! just a suggestion for nokia company to release this awesome features with the design i and my frends like and i know a lot of people does!!hehe
There's Something I really want to ask about coz i'm about to upgrade my mobile phone and I'm really confused..
Which is better in general 'Sony Ericson' or 'Nokia' phones? and which is better N82 or N78 ??!!
And a question to N82 users does it have many problems or it is worth buying ?
Ive had my N82 for a few months now and can say that I am happy with the overall performance, stillt think the design is a bit bland and the UI is a little to simple... learn from SE with the really nice falsh based themes NOKIA!
Anyway I have encountered a very irritating problem. When I start the camera a battery and flash indicator flashes above the viewing field and the camera application closes. The message "Unexpected error occured. Power off device and restart.".
Besides trying all the obvious things I reinstalled the firmware and nothing has changed. If anyone could help that would be great?!
Overall I expected more from this phone. Battery life is not good, the keys are horrible to use and the camera is not as good as they say it is....in fact I only take reference photos with the camera now. It still has a long way to go. The GPS system is kind of nice for someone who wants to get from a to b.... just don't expect too much from it. Internet usage and downloading is quite nice, but typing with the keys takes some of the experience away. Overall it is a pretty nice Multimedia device, but should be used for that purpose.
Asalm o alakum everyone n82 is a great phone. I have a problem though that when ever i connect to pc in mass storage mode it gives me a message That the memory card is not accesible and is being used by another application. i have my messages stored in phone memory and do not have much of other applications on memeory card except pre installed. Help me out brothers!!!!

Thanx for your help and quick answers.
few more questions.
Should I get the N82 or go with the 6220 classic?
I know they both are 5 mega pix with zenon but will the 6220 be the same quality? The only reason I like the 6220 classic is because it has US 3G.
What do you guys think?
this phone is available unlocked in the US but its gonna cost you about $500. now this phone isnt my favorite, mainly becuz of the keypad but i just LOVE the Nseries. High end multimedia phones, now thats the way i like to go. but they are like expensive. i hope to get the n96 when it releases here in the US...in 2 years LOL hopefully, it wont be so expensive by then
If that's the case then I think the N95 8GB users would love to hear how much you rave about their phone at their forum.

Thank you for your response.
And thanks to all others that responded to my questions.
I'm now starting to dislike N82 because of its looks. There's nothing wrong with the looks. The black N82 seems good-looking enough. But it's too plain. It's too simple. So I'd go for N95 8GB instead. The benefits of having 8GB memory already and hardware media keys are really handy. The N82 designed without media keys just stressed it even more as a mere camera phone. Since I'm more inclined to music, I'd prefer the N95 8GB. I think it would be a better music phone than N82. Plus the looks is something that you can really show off and flaunt. Unlike N82 that would hardly be noticed by my friends.
I used to have a N95-1, and now have the N82. The thing I don't like about the N95-8GB (and the reason I didn't buy it) is that it has no memory card slot - so the 8GB is all you have, and all you will ever have - they also removed the camera cover, which I think was a bad move.
I can't think of anything that the N95 does that the N82 doesnt - it doesn't have the dedicated media buttons, but if the player is in the foreground the navigation key has the same functions.
If you are thinking of getting the N95 now, I would wait for the N96 - it still has the dual slider, but has 16GB of internal flash and a memory card slot. It also has dual band UMTS and DVB-M (even if I have to admit that the idea of watching TV on a mobile phone does nothing for me...)

N82 doesn't have apps such as photofix, bestpic like in K850...but the camera capability of N82 is really too good and the xenon is also much powerful than K850..
leo asks, "i am now [confused] to choose between sony P1i and nokia N82. [could] anyone give me [an] opinion?"
It's all about preference. If you want a touchscreen, go for the SE. Otherwise, go for the N82. The price of the P1i nowadays is about 30-40% cheaper than the N82 so that might also influence your decision-making.
Anonymous asks, "does anyone know if Nokia will be making a US 3G N82 model?"
It's true that Nokia has a tendency to release a phone for the North American market after that phone had been sold elsewhere, like what happened to the N95. But such moves are market-dependent, so you better register with a forum at Nokia.com and lobby for it! Who knows, Nokia might give in?!
Anonymous said, "the thing that holds me is [the N82's] design... So I might go for N95 8GB instead".
I respect your choice, but also to say I've been faced with that dilemma before. Coming from a N80, I don't fancy sliders anymore. The flex cable in my N80 got broken somehow so I had to get it fixed and it is now working fine again. But that taught me a lesson. When the time for my next upgrade came, I was made to choose between the N82 and N95 8GB to get for free. Wary of another flex cable kerfufle, I chose the N82. That said, the N96 wouldn't be an option for next year's upgrade.
does anyone know if Nokia will be making a US 3G N82 model? Because I know they are famous for doing this after I buy it.
N82 is a camera phone not an all in one device. I'm considering this phone but the thing that holds me is its design. It doesn't look stunning. So I might go for N95 8GB instead. I think N95 8GB is a lot better than N82. Larger screen, larger battery, dual slider form factor, hardware media keys, louder speakers.
