can anyone tell me if an 8gb memory card can support this unit without any problems such as poor loading?.........

Few more tips:
1. Yahoo Go! 3.0 is available for N 82. It is possible that in some countries yahoo go is not available yet, if u still really want to hav it installed on ur device follow these steps a) open yahoo site on your mobile browser. b) click on the link Yahoo International. c) open yahoo us or yahoo uk site. d) click on the link upgrade to Y! Go. e) downloading starts automatically , so does the installation. Follow the steps as mentioned in the site. Bingo ! yahoo go is yours.
If yahoo go downloaded from us site does not work try uk site. One of these will work in ur country.
2. If shooting pics indoors in the evenings with lesser light illumination compared to daylight, go to scene modes in ur camera windows. Select user defined. Select change. Go to light sensitivity value. Select high. Back. Next time when u want to click in dark conditions, make sure user defined is selected instead of 'A' in the scene modes of ur camera window. U will get better pix.
3. U can put ur phone into silent mode and back to general profile by long pressing the # key.
Other tips next time.

What made me sell this excellent phone is that
- it is too big for a normal pocket
- the ringtones and mp3 player are far too soft (See: http://www.gsmarena.com/latest...ew-171p3.php )

I have setup a group of 50 people, when i send one text message, it sends it twice to all users, that means 100 text messages are being sent, has anyone come across this fault.

it has office viewer but you can not edit documents. though I think you can buy it(not sure).

hello nokia n82 users! i have some questions:does this phone have office viewer? if no can i put one? can i edit office documents?
and with tweaked EQ, does the sound quality improve overall?

Getting train in 20 mins but adrian my retail box has 2gb card that i have not used yet but the card comes preloaded with nokia maps and 3 months free voice guidance.THEIR is a sleeve over the main box with this wriiten on obviously promoting it...

IT always says depending on country when supplied content is concerned but in uk you get the card,,always use common sense if you think its a scam it could well be..

TO person asking about loudness thru loudspeakers,,n95 is loudr than n82 and n82 is a bit on the screechy side but it does really push out ringtones due to their midrange sound so it wins in alarm,,polypnonic output..The n95 tone is a lot more balanced in loudspeakers..bye

Hey!
Could somebody tell me if there's really a number of retail packages on N82?
I mean, in our country N82 sells either with a 2GB card ($480), or with no card ($360). I fear that the one with no card could be a scam!
Could you give me a link, that points to the types of retail packages, so I can see that those types really exist?

Sorry to say that the very reflective silver finish around the TINY keys makes texting in daylight practically impossible. I'm seriously thinking of taking the phone apart and 'dulling' the keyboard surround in an attempt to solve this. Anyone else have this problem? Otherwise the phone is cool. I upgraded from a SE T150. Nokia should look at this as an example of how to design a keyboard.

Sound comparison between N73ME and N82:

1. Sound quality - N82 is better
2. Listening to a headset - N82 is louder
3. Listening to an external speakers (altec lansing) - N82 is louder
4. Listening to phones built-in loudspeakers - N73 is louder

Therefore, N82 wins.

I use n73 and n5700 and utube videos freezes all the time wen playing bk on this phones. I use the gprs connection. What about n82. Does utube play good with wifi connection ???
Please help. I want to buy this phn 4 mothers day.

I have this phone now for about 2 Months. Great phone as logn as the features and proformance but i hate the style of the phone to be silver and with small bottoms. I have not got use to this yet. This phone would of been much better if they would of package it in different style. Nokia tried to copy Sony Old phones Ashame on Nokia. Nokia should stay in what they good at and not try to copy. Nokia losing alot of market share to Sony and Samsung and it is ashame to see this since Nokia was the best and still is but I think they would lose their position soon by 2009. Nokia putting the same PC board Design in different packaging style and call it new phone but you still buying the same old model phone with same style software program.

i have had n95-1,,n95 8gb and have n82 and someone (PAIR address) asked about brightness and music....

I would say music wise they are all the same but i always say that i am using in ear buds as the supplied nokia headfones are fairly useless in bass department,,Their are two other enhancements like loudness which was orinally invented to boost notes when the volume was turned down on hi-fi equipment to give more presence..this gives a big volume boost especially in the bass notes..

The next is a surround effect that weakens the volume and adds a bigger soundstage and to me it works differently in different mp3s "for example",,,,
1)some cds to me are weaker sounding and some are a lot louder

2) Surround sound types including sound virtualisers or live sound settings can create distortion in the treble notes..

Overall with my genres of music i am fine with it..

Brightness is better in n95 fones and both the same to me exactly and 2.8 inches diagonal..
The n82 is a bit weaker in brightness and 2.4 inches diagonal and i prefer n82 because its got more colour depth and is less pixelly due to the amount of pixels in n82 been squashed into smaller screen..If anyone is coming from n73 then i would say they would see a briteness difference in n95 and n82 as wen i had n73 it was one of the brightest screens ive seen.....
I was going to get a n73 instead of n82 but the specs and vga video and tv out etc just far out weighed the n73 but n73 is still a superb mobile
