This is totally a waste model from world's biggest mobile manufacturer. What is the use of buying this mobile when the display has no lifetime?

im a wise consumer now! im not going to buy this phone until its price subsides to at least 18,000 pesos. im not gonna spend anymore 20,000 plus pesos just for a phone when i can buy it for a much cheaper price after some period of time! haha

If you want the N8... moreyeah, i agree. infact, nokia is currently developing 14 smartphones. most of these are touch devices with vga display. the last non-touchscreen phone will be codename "corolla". and i think that will be the "N98" becos that phone will bear 8mp camera. there is also some kind of "N85i" thats on the way. it will be N85 with a xenon flash. however, nokia is really behind other manufacturers becos the likes of samsung and htc already have released the kind of handsets that nokia is yet developing at the moment.

But the screen size is 3.2... more5800 is a midrange phone and its not appropriate to equipped it with an expensive dual processor. the single chip freescale processor is a cost cutting measure implemented by nokia.
love this phone...
wish i have all the wealth so i can buy all N-series phone!
but i wish i can have this one..
Why don't you try htc touch diamond which has 528 mhz processor, 192 mb ram (64 mb reserved for graphics) and 256 mb rom?
It's also a touch screen with 640*480 pixel (VGA resolution), 2.8 inch screen. It's also a smartphone based on Windows mobile 6.1 professional edition.
Even 5800 has single 369 mhz processor, 128 mb ram and 256 mb rom. But the screen size is 3.2 inch. And resolution is 640x360(16:9 ratio). And it's a touch screen. I am confused why nokia is not using dual processors?

They have clearly said that it has organic materiels. It has only limited lifetime. And the intrusion of water can damage or destroy the organic materiels.
Then phone is very slow. The processing speed of nokia n82, n95 and n95 8gb is dual 332 mhz. Where as n85's processor is not dual. It's only single 369 mhz. Ram memory is 74mb and rom memory is 78mb where as all the other models have 128mb and 256 mb respectivly. So it's not an upgrade from those models. It's a downgrade. :p
To all n85 users and buyers.
I'm sure nokia will make you to think for another upgrade very soon. That's marketing technique. :d

Having had my new N85 3 days, I must have had the friday afternoon model, if I make a call from the contact list then the phone says "connection error" if I play a video then the phone resets itself.
The loudspeaker is poor and the buttons very easy to mistype, having just part exchanged my 6220 classic, I feel that I have made an expensive mistake.....
