josh, 20 Jan 2010if the n82 is such a good camera phone than tell me WHY it is dicontinued EH EH?????the n95 and n95 8gb are the most popular, revolutionary and best phones nokia has ever made and yet they are all discontinued as well just like n82 for the fact that they are old enough and nokia cannot afford to lower their cost so the only way is to phase them out.
I see a lot of guys ridiculously posting crab about the n86, THIS is a forum for posting your opinion in a decent way, not to lie and post silly stuff!
HOW JEALOUS ARE PEOPLE AT THIS MASTER PIECE!
The freaks try to make the n86 look bad, but sorry the phone stands up for itself, IT IS THE BEST non-touch phone in the market
nokia n86 will die soon... Kurara will be official, sam specs, like headphone jack, connectivity, same camera!!! BUT 720 FPS!! in video!!! Damn! Nokia had just been served!!!
I had K800 before and wanted new top camera phone. N86 works great, I made more than 1000 pics and 100 videos on V20. Qualitiy of those is great. I like the phone in other aspects too, even though i got dust under screen and keys have scrathes.
The only condition K800 outperforms N86 is in party like condition - dark and ppl moving, where real flash can freeze pic and led can not. In all other ways N86 makes 50% better pics tbh.
What is stupid on nokia is call log, it shows calls in 3 diff tabs and not showing which number contact called from (mobile, work, etc). wtf nokia?
my previous cp was n82. i would say its still rock. though n86 is an improvement. the money you are paying is not worth. plus the ugly design of n86 wil turn you down in the crowd.
ummmm im planing to sell my this phone but i want to save all my msgs in my inbox is it possible to save them in any other mmc card or in computer ? pls help soon pls
i must admit that v21 brought a great enhancment for night shots
no camera phone could snap this quality :)))
all standard settings just flash off
best n86 v21
daviddddddddd, 20 Jan 2010Is it made in china??? why ????if u r from asia, u'll get products made in china. its the production centre 4 asia. for europe there is some place else. its the way bussiness is run. apple, samsung, sony, nokia, etc that are supplied in asia are made in china or sumtimes japan. they usually don't sell nokias (made in finland) in asia because that would require extra shipping cost. And if they do that then, we will have to pay more money to buy the same product. So to reduce cost n other problems, they have setup manufacturing factories in china for asia, finland 4 europe, etc.
oh don't make me laugh... comparing N82 with N86... obviosly N86 win because has 28mm lens and 8 megapixel camera, and a lot of features that make this phone VERY powerful, FM transmitar, 8gb internal memory and expandable to 32gb, this is my next phone for several yerasr because nokia produces REAL phones
@ nicholae..................Why the hell my post was removed? U must have reported it. U just can't accept the truth, huh? Have u even seen n86. I guess not.
Nicolae, 20 Jan 2010Have it for 1 month. Previous phone (still using) K800i. I was looking for a all in 1 solution... moreI believe you're talking CRAP. I'm sorry but you are. How can this phone lose out to K800i when it's won the TIPA award for Best Mobile Imaging Device 2009. Even with the like of Innov8 and SE in the running. I've used the K800i and let me tell you it's the worst SE phone I've used. I had had to go back to the Service centre to repair my phone every 2 months. Ridiculous isn't it. You must have really gotten a LEMON. Grow up and dont be childish.
Have it for 1 month. Previous phone (still using) K800i. I was looking for a all in 1 solution with a good camera. Sounded too good to miss on paper, but a total disappointment in reality:
-Poor visibility in sunshine;
-Too heavy and slippery- have dropped it several times. Probably won't last long.
-8Mp camera is a joke. The quality of photos is so poor, especially indoors, that I'd rather use the K800i, which at least reduces 'red eye' effect.
-Poor battery life coupled with uninformative battery indicator- it just switches off all of a sudden after dropping by one line. Lasts 2 days max with only average usage (K800i after serving for 2 years lasts about the same, but used to be 5-6 days when new).
-Buggy s/w (partly resolved with the v21.
-Slider not top quality (wobbly).
-Doesn't work with my HP Bluetooth headset.
-Stupid context/menu keys.
-Poor sound quality/reception. I can hardly hear anybody (K800i sooooooo much better)
-Both speakers on one side- can barely hear it in my pocket in some situations.
-Crappy headphones and TV cable not included.
-Stupid USB charger, considering that u have to recharge daily.
-Just about any application on it requires a data connection and an enormous amount of data.
-Texting is difficult.
-Sorting media files is so difficult.
There are also good points:
-Good quality of display.
-8 MP plus I inserted 8Mp. A lot of space for crappy pictures! I downloaded a few maps and almost emptied the available space on disk E.
-GPS with compass- seems to be working fine.
Well, if K800i were updated today with a 8MP camera, at least 4Gb of internal memory and GPS, I would consider N86 TOTALLY useless. A slightly better display is not worth all the extra problems u get with it.
if the n82 is such a good camera phone than tell me WHY it is dicontinued EH EH?????
after reading all the comments i decided to buy this one. i have it last monday. Its nice if its your first time to buy n series. Boring phone. Seems i got an old n series.
josh, 20 Jan 2010all I could do was crack up laughing at what you guys are saying that the 6700 is a better cam... morei was not saying 6700 is a better camera than n86. i was just saying some of the photos clicked at night with 6700 r of same size with n86. that it guys.
Fact is u all should stop bickering about something as volatile as the subject of best phone in any which way..Fact: There is NO (read) NO! best phone from the Iphone to the nexus to the else, only better ones.you have revolutionary or evolutionary phones, the N86 is evolutionary i.e. builds on the N82 and therefore improves on it because come rain come shine the hardware it packs has a much greater ability to adapt via imaging logarithms than that on the N82 which will fall into the legacy segment i.e. older hardware(N82) results in the hardware maxing out its capabilities where newer/improved hardware(N86) pushes beyond. So please if u have your wits about u, don't buy older hardware unless u absolutely have no choice, the span life of devices of that sort are short plus u quickly bore of it and its 'advanced features of its prehistoric time ' so could we talk about this phone and REAL user opinions/problems/hints etc
Nokia_Tec, 19 Jan 2010Guys am i sitting in a bar or something? Cause i have seen answers from guys that seem damn dr... moreall I could do was crack up laughing at what you guys are saying that the 6700 is a better camera "get reall" and the n82 is better.... dont make me laugh!
