I had N95 8GB, and at that time it was great. Meanwhile I used N82, N85 and have bought N86 a week ago. N95 had useless LED flash, N82 had a great xenon and N85 had a very good dual LED flash. But N86 will always heavily outperform all listed phones when taking photo in low light without flash, and its dual LED flash is surprisingly strong. The only advantage of Xenon over the dual LED on N86 is that it can freeze the picture and thats it. Not to mention that the N86 flash can very well be used to act as a videolight which is impossible with xenon. I just hope Nokia makes something like N96 12MP in the future with both dual LED and xenon, with HD video recording, 2,8 OLED display of VGA resolution, great sound quality and that would be a perfect phone. But for now, there is not such thing like a perfect phone, so we have to choose between options. I chose N86 and its worth every cent that I paid for it.

hey guys i do love my n86 right now, but is still have my n82. maybe i could make my own photo comparison of both phones...just don't know how to post a link here where you all could see it :-)

I wouldnt say that to me as I know alot about mobile phones and there features, and I also know alot about photography as well...... more than you......
so dont say that, you dont have to be nasty all I meant was that the nokia n96 was very buggy,
but with the lastest firware it is what it should have been when it first came out!

This phone is the best phone i've had in a long time since da last best phone was nokia n95 8GB. Recently bought nokia n97 which has buggy interface...cheap construction. no i have both n97 and n86 and i gotta say...n86 is SOLID. user interface is top notch and very very responsive and the build quality(construction) is AMAZING... i had n 8600 LUNA before...n the construction of the n86 is very similar to LUNA...SOLID and reliable.. everything from comfortable keypad to amazing camera.. this phone is definitely a must buy for ppl who loved the n95

There are different parts of sound...thats why GSM arena shows the graph...Highest sound does not mean better sound..so far 5800 sound quality is the best from nokia...

I've had my N 86 foe two weeks, and it is a fantastic device i absolutely love it the functions are all great, the camera is awesome, the music is amazing and the feel and quality are excellent . If you like a good solid phone with more features than you'll need then get a N86 you will be happy with it.

This is one of the best button Phone. I duuno why ppl and some media are saying it is bad.

The photos taken are fantastic, except some Focusing problem for Macro. Otherwise, it is fantastic.

The keypad are very comfortable for typing, the sound level for ringtone are reasonably loud.

The shape is small and handy, very pocketable. The weight makes it feel very solid.

This is definitely one of the better phones from Nokia, but I'm sure they could have make it better but that comes with a high price . . .

OVI Store really need to be faster, it loads way too slow.

> In reply to andy burgin @ 2009-08-16 22:41 from 3pH0 - click to readi must say you're about the speakers but still the speakers of the n86 is loud but not as loud like some other nseries. my n82 is louder than my n86 but still they didn't released and promoted n86 because of its speakers but because of its awesome camera that captures great quality pictures, and some other great stuff that comes along with it. to anyone of you who is considering buying n86 and having second thoughts, well don't be coz you won't be disappointed. me, i'm loving my n86 :-)

Once you have had the n95 an n95 8gb the speakers on the N86 really let you down,o.k it might have a little better camera but like alot of people have said the positioning of the speakers on the N86 really let this phone down,why did Nokia make such a bad decision with speakers,or why didn"t the put 3 speakers on the N86 so when its in your hand you get stereo sound like the N95 8gb,then when you use the camera stand the other speaker gets turned off,as this as put alot of people buying the N86

dude i bought n96 and n97 and i sold them after using these cellphones are too bad too slow

and i bought n85 and that cell was awesome then i bought n86 8megapixle n believe me this cellphone is awesome camera is awesome features are awesome complete cellphone nokia rocks
