I was praying for Nokia to come with a 8mp phone but I'm jus not digging this device. Sony Ericsson is a step ahead of Nokia for now with the 12 mp phone. I'm gonna keep rocking my N96 until I get the C905 or the Idou. Still love Nokia though no other company can compare to Nokia and Sony!

People are slagging Nokia down because all they have done is put a 8 mega-pixel camera on the N85,but its totally wrong ,this will easily be me next mobile ,but wish it would be released earlier than June,so until we see the full review about the N86 an its fully features theres no use slagging Nokia down

I've come across the web with this information. The N86 8MP is a preparation for Nokia's upcoming true imaging flagship, Nokia N98 - the one they patented 2 years ago being in a slider form factor with a rotating camera at the top, having the same 8MP camera module as N86 with optical zoom. So N86 8MP isn't the true imaging flagship.
The 5800 XpressMusic is a preparation for the N97, so is the N86 8MP a preparation for the N98.

this is the best phone i've seen since the king of the kings, N95 8GB.. the screen is fantastic 2.6' is ideal to keep the size of the phone compact and pocket friendly, the camera is superb! I think its gonna be the best thing since N82, camera wise; battery seems great, UI is with out a doubt way beyond mature now and almost bug free, usb charging, TV out compatible with ALL TVs not restricted to HDMI and lets face it, this a Nokia, NOKIA!! Not Samsung, Not SE, not LG, this is Nokia anyone and everyone can kiss their capable a$$ cuz Nokia is the best, will always be the best, and will lead like no other!
I truely believe this phone is the best phone since sliced bread! I hate touch screen phones anyways! love the dual slide, love the N85, and now, i'm gonna have an affair with the N86 8MP ;)
Love Nokia to the bones!

I really like the display, it's so nice.
You have all you need in the screen: emails, messages, etc.
I like that..
The performance must be outstanding.
And since it's Nokia, should be superb..
I think the camera is great

There are lots of people here talking about megapixels. You are all dumb!!! Use your brains once plz.. We are talking a mobile phone here not camera.. If you want to be a photographer buy a digital SLR camera.. Did you know that 3.2MP and 5MP cameraphone are enough for everyone when you print your image? 5MP is enough and you can already print a very nice and big photo with it.
If all people want a bigger MP cam, then what do you think would happen if all manufacturer make bigger MP every year? hahaha.. In 2010 they already have 30MP and then every picture would be at least 10GB or more. Plz use your brains...
I have N82, 5800, omnia and I am happy with it.. N86 truly is magnificent phone.. so don't judge it by comparing its camera to others coz it has the best, compact and beautiful design and a monster functionality and features it has.
Other fan boys leave this place coz this is an N86 page, not some other lowly brands especially those SE fan boys.. Waiting for SE to be out of buisness. LOL!!!!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-02-18 12:16 from ibXVThe Idou is using Symbian OS, a fusion between S60 and UIQ (although more of the former). It's the product of the Symbian Foundation. Did I mention it's open source?
And please, is this really the place to comment on Idou? It'd N86's comment page.
