Anonymous, 13 Aug 2011Nokia is joking now. I cant believe that nokia so why not dual core at less 1.2 or higher and ... moreWhy not a netbook with phone priced at +500£?I think there are reasons for this processor .The screen is big enough. The qualities of components matters more.Think that a laptop is 20-30 times biger and has a lot of heat problems . In fact there isn't any laptop under 1000 euro/usd/$ without heat problems.
Anonymous, 13 Aug 2011Nokia is joking now. I cant believe that nokia so why not dual core at less 1.2 or higher and ... moreA promising phone from Nokia, finally! the hardware and OS are great, multi-tasking and the transition is sooo smooth, just hope that it wont eat up the battery though.. I owned an android phone (HTC Desire S, SGS II) and the battery sucks bigtime when browsing and when a lot of apps open, sighh..
Nokia has the best support in the business, obviously N9 has pretty DAMN good design and hardware (1GB RAM, decent processor, probably very good camera). After all the best overall phones wins the competition. If Nokia keep developing MeeGo and provides top-noch support and updates as usual, this phone is already one of the best out there for sure! After superior reviews of N9 all around the web one think is for sure - it has the charisma to be a best seller and a winner. Dont forget this is the first try of Nokia in this kind of smartphones (non symbian OS), I cant imagine what's next. Its up to Nokia from now on...
Love the looks of the phone and the interface. Nokia really pulled it off, just when almost nobody expected. This phone is probably the best looking smartphone right now, and the OS has a lots of nice innovating features that you can`t find on other mature operating systems.
I hope this is ready soon... It's incredible device with great Operating System. Hope, it will be available in UK :-)
The N9 is selling for roughly US$8370 for the 16GB and US$1000 for the 64GB. Way to go Nokia for ruining the best phone ever.....
You can buy the N9 from Australia for $979. You can do the conversion to your countries' currancy yourself.
Nokia is joking now. I cant believe that nokia so why not dual core at less 1.2 or higher and a larger screen like 4.0 inche or 4.3 in. samsung is way ahead with technology but nokia is better with designs why nokia cant just built.

http://www.allabou... moreMore information about the device N9 and other Nokians...
I'd like to get an N9 when available, but as its not coming to the UK, and having never bought a phone from abroad before, what country would be the best place to buy it from to make sure it had a full english language pack installed.
I'm also hoping someone will produce a Mini SIM caddy, I know the production N9 will require a Micro SIM, but some of the N9's shown in reviews have used Mini SIMs, in the photos the two types of SIMs were in different caddies, but the contacts appeared to be held in the same position.
my only wish is that I get to buy this extremely beautiful phone before it finishes..the funniest part is I started looking for this in the market even before it has been released..hahaha..!

Support FOR N9:
Will the N9 be upgraded to Meego 1.3 and 1.4?
[Nokia] We will make the announcement in due course.
Why does Nokia sell something that has no future support from Nokia?
[Nokia] The Nokia N9 is not just a MeeGo-based product; it is the latest Nokia smart phone. We believe people will be attracted to the amazing user experience that blends seamlessly with the hardware. Anyone who buys the Nokia N9 will have a great experience, and will also receive all the product support they require while using their product, including software updates, maintenance and standard care and support services.
Is it true that Nokia N9 is the last MeeGo phone from Nokia?
[AAM] Stephen Elop has stated that there will be “no returning to MeeGo”, according to Finnish Newspaper, Helsinging Sanomat [Source]. The N9 is likely to be the last MeeGo device, but elements of the technology, both software and hardware, will be used in other devices.
[Nokia] Our Meego platform will continue to provide Nokia with a platform to research and develop disruptive technology. What form and shape those technologies will take in the future is not something that we are able to talk about at this present moment.
Will Nokia continue to support the MeeGo OS?
From: iwakama, lhahne, ajay230ps, kamalzack
[AAM] Nokia will provide full support for the N9, as it does for all its other products. Given that Nokia has stated it will not be returning to MeeGo for future products, it is likely that major software updates may be limited. Despite this we would expect there to be two or three major firmware updates. The N9 may have a usual than longer support /sales period as it likely to thedive used for Nokia's research and future concept projects relating to MeeGo.
[Asri] Nokia N9 will receive continuous support from Nokia. Firmware updates will be made available for the device’s lifetime. At the same time, Nokia positioned MeeGo as the future disruptive technology, which can mean anything.
[Nokia] Anyone who buys the Nokia N9 will will receive all the product support they require while using their product, including software updates, maintenance and standard care and support services plus a pipeline to great apps which are developed on Qt.
