> In reply to sljivan @ 2012-02-02 21:28 from 3qSY - click to readAfter using the N900 for over 2 years, I personally feel the N900 is the best mobile computer I have ever used. And that's the problem with most people that complain about the N900: IT IS NOT A PHONE. It is a mobile computer that also happens to make calls. Even Nokia did not advertise it as a phone at its inception. If you understand that it's essentially a linux based computer and you handle it as such i.e programming etc, you will not have problems

> In reply to th3D @ 2012-02-05 11:14 from m7Ew - click to readI'd use a 3310 over this unreliable phone thank you very much. I tweaked my N900 to my heart's content (overclocking, extras-devels apps, ssh, etc you name it). But at the end of the day I want a reliable, working phone. I repeat fMMS is buggy and doesn't support sound or video attachment. If you're satisfied with just sending images, good for you. I expect more out of the money I spent. As for the rest of my complaints, just go to talk.maemo.org and see how many people experience the same problems. Abandoning Maemo is the right move, N900 is the epitome of software incompetence.

> In reply to bree @ 2012-02-03 18:37 from ibH$ - click to readWow, i also changed from 5800 to N900, 2 years ago. You are a bit late, but still you have to admit that N900 is anamazing unit compared to the super simple 5800. The 5800 was a budget phone and it showed, bad low res LCD (terrible color reproduction), slow, no GPU (5800 was totally unsuitable for games), GUI was unsuitable for touch, and so on and on.

N900 has excellent speakers, its loud and clear, yours is broken, or its fake, i dont know? My N900 had some accidents but survived untill my wife got overdrunk and lost it in the toilet ahah. Ok it survived the visit to the toilet also but a few weeks later it stopped charging.

And fMMS is good, easy to use once you set it up, and it takes like 3 minutes to configure? A one time set-up, is that too hard for you?

i recommend you go back to 3310.

> In reply to bree @ 2012-02-03 18:37 from ibH$ - click to readn900 is a nice phone if you know how to use it its mode of operation is different from most conventional nokia phones all you need to do is to understand the phone and u would no more regret having it. if u are the type thats so crazy about java midlet then n900 is not a good option for you.
