HUGE UPDATE :
The N900 which got a minor firmware update(version 44.1) few days back is now getting a HUGE firmware update which is around 89.5 MB. This update bears the version number 51.1 and is also known as a PR 1.1 update
This is all over the air (OTA) with no need for a PC or NSU. But to get this update you must have the version 44.1 firmware installed on your phone.
lot of positive comments here
does it mean that this phone is so great that nokia can go backward after this model?
n900-->n901 with arm 11 6oomhz??no gpu
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2010how about buying hd2 then?? N900 ROX!you obviously never had the hd2 it kills n900 so bad its not even funny
try using the hd2 for a week or two then try to go back to nokia n900, its not going to happen
Should have had quad band support for 3g/3.5/LTE etc. Why is it that all the new phones support T-Mobile's high speed data frequency and not AT&T's frequency? I have an unlocked E71 and wanted to purchase the N900 until I found out that it does not support AT&T's 3G/3.5G bands. Is there something going on with AT&T or T-Mobile that we don't know about? The Quad band GSM phones work almost worlwide, why not data? A standard should be developed so as not to leave users left out because their carriers have different frequencies.
Thinking of buying this phone. Just want to check, can you personalise the phone with wallpapers and screensavers?
Also, does the video zoom while recording?
Is the camera good?

n900userVV, 13 Jan 2010Update doesn't bring anything useful for now.
Battery life is terrible if one uses gprs all t... morewell i am not facing these problems you mentioned... i dont have 1000 contact so i cant reply to that problem.
the battery well from morning till night which i dont mind since my N97 was the same. so no big deal concerning the battery for me
Update doesn't bring anything useful for now.
Battery life is terrible if one uses gprs all the time and don't get me even started on wifi.
The phone is still extremely slow in phone book if one has more than 1000 entries even compared to a E71 I used before.
It has started to drop calls even if the signal is full and both wifi and gprs are off. NOKIA PLEASE A REAL SOFTWARE UPDATE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
Don't get me wrong, this still is a wonderful phone and there is nothing on the market I would consider instead.
thinking of getting this phone, previously had an n97 which was stolen last week. one gripe i had with the n97 was the stupidly low c drive space (why put only 80mb of c memory on a phone with 32gb of mass memory??). i would like to think that the n900 doesn't have this stupid problem, so you get no memory low errors? are the phone/mass memory of the n900 separated like on symbian smartphones, or are they just one memory?
how about combining xpressmusic and nseries into one series?
When can we buy a omap3 based nookia touch screeen phone?
When can we have multitouch nokia phone
