Nabil, 04 Jan 2010i heard that the battery of n900 is so bad it finish within half day just want to ask more... moreMine can last 2 days on standby mode and 1 day with net surfing plus music playing thru out.
o forgot about one last thing... the battery life is pretty bad, but i know this goes with every other smart phones out there atm, droid, hero,hd2, 3gs. It only last about 4hrs that if i surfed the web for about 15-20mins and record/take pictures for 10 mins. I think this is still acceptable, but i would highly suggest you to buy one extra battery just in case, battery can be found on ebay for less than 20. so yeh... this sums up all i wanted to say.
Its a pretty top notch phone like its Predecessor n810/n800. I bought the phone of newegg, when nokia was still offering the 50 dollar rebate with the activation of an ovi account, total price paid was $600 and $550 after the rebate which I havent received. I had a difficult time deciding between and the 3gs 32gb, but after the many reviews I read regarding 3gs build quality with rattling sounds and the lack of flash player, I decided to go with n900. This is a really well built tablet pc/phone, when multitasking, the phone is much smoother than the 3gs demo sample I used at bestbuy, much smoother. Maybe the 768mb virtual memory is what makes it this stabled. Cons: well the phone will lag at times im pretty certain that electronic devices will suffer from this when they at there first stage. I hope in the future update for the firmware, the phone will become more stable. It does lack apps, it currently has no more than 50 apps and apple's strong marketing method and the ability to have an app for everything is what make an iphone a winner in this category. I hope in the near future, there will be a list of apps that I will be able to download from ovi store. Lastly the camera/recorder is truely phenomenal, the picture quality is compareable to my old cybershot dsc-t1 after I tweaked the settings a bit, I may sound like im exaggerating but seriously its that amazing. the video recorder on the other hand of course isnt compareable to the commonly used hd came quarters, but still pretty decent. All in all this is the best nokia phone by far, it still has its negatives but like any other bugs electronics and phones face when they first release. This phone will never let you down!!! worth buying, forgot to mention its bulkiness haa but thats the way i love it...lol

But it did say the phone was good. I have see people put the nintentod rom and play games on it has anyone tried that cause thats definately cool. imagine been in a hotel room all you need is a n900 a nintendo controller and tv and you can play games.

In reply to Rabadoe 28:
(i) Yes you can play Divx & AVI files on the Nokia N900, as it supports these formats aswell out of the box.
(ii) Yes, through t.v-out you can watch them on your t.v.
To all the people out there that is considering to buy this phone, but is scared because of the negative reviews by others in this forum. Let me clear things up for you guys. First of all, I been using this phone for the past month or so. Before this phone, I had the Iphone 3gs and before that, I had the touch pro 2, the nokia n97, the samsung jet, the samsung omnia hd, the mytouch 3g, the blackberry 8900, the nokia e71, etc. All these phones in the past 12 months or less. I am not trying to show off or anything, I just want to show everyone that I am a phone lover and that I have USED all these phones before, so I feel I can qualify to compare and make opinions. UNLIKE those are have never even used these other phones, especially the Nokia N900, but they still have the nerve to make comments. bad comments. Neways, this is how I feel. I love the Iphone 3gs, I can download a shit load of games and apps and not pay a penny. Its very good to have when you are bored, it keeps you company. But I really need a keyboard because I text a lot. So, I sold that to get the N900. Also, the 3gs was too simple for me. Its good for girls. The touch pro 2 has a keyboard and its touchscreen like the N900, but its slower and it lags a lot more. My friend got one recently too, and he wants to sell it. He is complaining that it often lags. Plus, it only has a 3mp camera with NO flash. But it does have the best keyboard of all cell phones. Its spacious and 5 rows of keys. The nokia n97 is a beautiful phone, but its too laggy. Slow ass processor. Besides that, its a great phone. To save time, I am not going to get into the other phones. I figure I talk about the 2 more popular ones. In MY OPINION, not that I have to be right, but I feel that the Nokia N900 is arguably the best cell phone I have ever had. I probably had or used over 30-40 in my short life. I am 28 years old. The reason I feel this way is because it has everything I want in a phone. Its touchscreen with keyboard. The Iphone 3gs is an excellent phone, but its only touchsreen. I like the fact that the N900 has both sides of the world. The touchscreen, although resistive, is very responsive. I actually like resistive more than capacitive because you get to use a stylus. When I am looking at webpages, the stylus is more accurate to click on certain icons. On top of the excellent touchscreen, the N900 also has a very good keyboard. I know some people thinks its small, but I find it very good because the keys have a very good feel to it when you press on it. Even though the touch pro 2 keys are more spacious, they do not feel as good when pressed on as the N900. So, I only give it a slight edge over the N900. Its like 10 to 8. The N900 also has 32gb of storage built in. So, you can put in a lot of apps and movies and music. It has a 3.5mm audio jack, which the touch pro 2 does not. One more thing I have to mention is, the web surfing on this phone is amazing. NOTHING comes close. Its like using a desktop. I am dead serious on this. The flash and everything loads, fast too. So, I mean is the Nokia N900 the best phone out? well, that depends on who you ask I feel. If you do not care about touch screen, then maybe the Blackberry 9700 or Nokia E72 is the best option for you. If you want touchscreen, but do not care about keyboard, then the Iphone 3gs is definitely the best, with a few others coming in a close 2nd. But if you want both, touchscreen and keyboard, the Nokia N900 is definitely one of the best, if not the best. It has it all. Excellent touchscreen, good keyboard, 32gb storage, Very fast processor, good sound, a very good camera, especially during day time and the best web browser. I mean what more do you want? I mean I'm sure if nokia put a 8mp camera with xenon flash and HD quality video recording on this phone, it will cost like 100-200 bucks more. For the price, which is around 600, and for what it has, I feel the Nokia N900 is the one of the best phones out now. Definitely top 3.
