Nokia Manufacturing Plant- Sriperumbudur, Chennai
The factory construction from ground breaking to manufacturing of the first product took 5 months
Started with 550 people in January 2006, and grown to 8000 people
Spread over an area of 210.87 acres, Nokia started its operations with 550 employees in January 2006 and today boasts of 8000 employees, 70 percent of whom are women. Currently the factory exports to 50+ countries in South East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, other than catering to the demands of the domestic market. Nokia's manufacturing facility in India reiterates its commitment to the fast growing Indian telecommunications market.

N97 is not bad at all, people always complaint the ui and and slow performance
symbian ui is simple and mature, many customers won't care about the ram and CPU!

The N900 is in a different league to what SE have to offer! No need for Nokia to be shouting about it and claiming outrageous capabilities. It'll sell well because1, it wont cost silly money like I Phone, 2 it'll be able to have multiple tabs/apps open together unlike I Phone, 3 the camera lenses are superior and the list goes on. Nokia did get caught with its proverbial pants down when touch screen phones hit the market, but it's made a huge effort to catch up and the N900 is an awesome piece of kit. I shall definitely be having one.
lets not glorify ANY camera phone to D-SLR level please.

"I've heard some big news, NOKIA HAS CANCELLED THE N900, because nobody will buy it because since the announcement of the Sony Ericsson X10. nobody wants the N900 anymore!"
This is a proof of how scared fanboys are of the Maemo OS' potential and possible success.
People, calm down. GSM's review will probably come around the official release date, AKA 14th-16th Nov.
Anonymous, 07 Nov 2009Is the N900 also almost DSLR level?Only the n86 and it had face detection now in the latest firmware update
