Should I wait for N900 or buy N97 instead? I've been using S60 phones since 2004 and SE UIQ since 2002. Is Maemo much better then S60? I checked out N810 last year and wasn't impressed by it...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970you can already pre order the american version on nokia.com for $649.99 and it should come out sometime in october
It only supports portrait view for phone functions, every thing else is landscape

It is official
nokia today says qt 4.6 bring multitouch and gesture to maemo6 and symbain ^4
So guys, I saw vid with one of the staff of Nokia. So he said, that portrait mode can be used, if there will be created any app's that uses it, it's open for this. And maybe in future, they will get us all portrait mode in meniu and everywhere. Now as i saw it's active for photo viewing and some other stuff. But it's not able for meniu. And one more time: Developers can create apps that runs in portrait mode. And all stuff in OVI should be free!!!
Hope, I helped a little.

good phone indeed but I got bored with it, 2G! 3G! 3GS!, same stuff, few add ons.. I'm moving on to N900
Nokia is launching the Comes With Music in January.. unlimited download right to my fingertips
yes I'm going to miss it but I will be busy downloading stuff from Ovi Store, so it would cover this matter a bit
OK, so the n900 is able to have Google chat and Skype but my question is... does the n900 also support MSN Live Messenger?

capacitive = touch without forceYeah, you really need to apply much force for resistive...
Resistive = touch with stylus, nail or anything else, handwriting recognition, more precise...
Capactive = none of the above
yah, i think its better to buy a phone for calls n txt then buy a netbook its a better choice lol cuz netbook alot morethings than a phone and its also handy lol
Anonymous, 01 Jan 19701. maemo os beats iphone os
2.nokia gives multitasking
3.nokia n900 specs alone shows it is not limited like iphone
WOW great phone !!! i like it because it has KICK STAND like SE W995. but isn't it more practical if you buy Nokia 3310 for call and txt then buy mini laptop for application? QWERTY keyboard in very tiny size!!! waaahh designer of this is CRAZY.
brynn, 09 Sep 2009the amoled stands for active matrix organic light emmiting diode its just a screen type and ha... moreThanx Brynn, it's nice explanation for the opinion, i actually have known a bit about it, well the amoled is not a long live and may easy start white spots, and capacitive not for writing recognition and not for painting graphics, and the rezistive is capable of all, it's just not so strong to surwive stong toys and may scratch.., but anyway it was about this guys like Treak, they just rush everywhere claiming about amoled or capacitive as they are their prophet, but they really don't know wot really is..., as you can see he is not out with the answer i ask him?!
