this phone is the worst phone I've ever had lags, slow, speaker crackles, cheap gluing, play/pause key is always faulty keys are really small, paint is starting to come off the front, the front housing has come off i have thrown it away into the garbage and also i don't recommend you buy this phone!!!

i've had both n91 and n81 8gb, and n81 8gb is overall better than n91 as a music phone! n91 only beats n81 8gb in sound quality but not by too much! but the rest, n81 8gb is so much better as a whole, better battery, better design, better keypad, more stylish, so much more ram for multitasking, a lot better screen, much more stable software, better storage disk, and more essential extras like dual stereo speakers, ngage and naviwheel. n81 8gb is a complete package as music player!

Hi, got the Nokia N91 off a friend for $40. When I got it, it had a nasty dent on the side of it and firmware problems, but with searching round the shops and ebay, I found a nice new housing for it, and upgraded the firmware to version 2.10.013.
Nokia N91 is one of the greatest phones ever, with symbian 9.1, Wi-Fi, bluetooth and a fully functional music centre, the N91 is sure a great phone, with a great 4gb hard drive, for all your games, music, video and images, it is sure for the multimedia/business person.
The Nokia N91, in terms of looks I give it 9/10
For functionality I give it 9/10
For features, a spot on 10/10!

I read that the team that made the N81 were basically all fired by Nokia (closed down the R&D center in Germany). That was after all kind of quality problems with N81, N71 etc

enough said.

n91-1 (n91 wcdma), n91-5 (n91 gsm-only), n91-2 (n91 8gb) have virtually no noticeable difference in their audio quality. they have the same audio hardware chip installed, same sound processing built into the firmware so they have the same audio quality via 3.5mm audio jack.

You have posted a load of rubbish. Creaks? My N81 doesn't give off any creek sounds unless when the battery cover is not completely closed. Theres play in the slider? WTF!? Its so smooth, yes it has a slight wobble but nothing serious. I don't understand why some of you N91 users are so bitter about the N81. The N81 is a lot better allround, Get over it.

N91 vs N81 - Well N81 has very poor industrial design, its useability is much worse than the N80, N91 etc. Poor mechanics, everything creaks and there is all kinds of play in the slide, just horrible. Also the music is not as loud as N91 and its actually heavier than the N91 and it is not made of steel - go figure

of course it sounds better than 6300i. audio quality is the same with n81. n81 is the best music phone. sound via 3.5mm jack and stereo speakers is great!

i need a phone that has eu volume restriction because after 2 years of using n91 as my main music player, my hearing is already impaired. i hope its not permanent. n81 would be good for me. i hope the volume is softer and wont hurt my ears.

I love N91. I am using N91-1 which was release in August 06 priced 30K. From this time many /companys & Nokia released many multimedia or Music Phone like 5610,N73-M,N95,N70-M,5310 Music Express,Moto E6;E8, Samsung Beat 450 e.t.c. But No one have Better sound than N91. Thats' why, its call "iPOD Killer".It come with "BOSE" Mobile-Sound IC,for this it sounds too good. But its (-) Point: the Nokia earphone is too Poor Quality for this Phone. It sounds Better if you use sony Erricson Vacume earphone or Genius Vacume earphone or Creative Vacume earphone or BOSE Triport earphones.Sony W810,W910 is good Music Phone but not better than N91... But Nokia Stopped this set/Music Player totally.
