I have very different experience. This phone has worked without any problems. It's an excellent quality mp3 player with an 8gb hard disc. I can really recommend this phone for anyone who loves music. It is also an 3G phone, which for example an iphone is not. Meaning that the internet connection of this phone is a lot faster.

now i am facing a new problem of HDD,when i am trying to access hdd it shows a message "hard disk is not formated",every time i format my hdd and add stuffs again but after some time when i try to open music files or video it shows same message,and all stuff gonna disappeared again.any solution to fix that problem can i use the options checking the volume of error and defragment the hdd through computer?.waiting for reply on it.thanks

ok people love that new Nokia 5700 !

anybody tested that phone ? nokia 5700 sound quality is like N91 ? or better than n91 ? any idea ! guyz ? pappy ?

is nokia stopped produce this phone ?

please someone tell me which new cool music phone coming ? is any there any phone like N91 ?

i dont care what u guys say bad about n91 ! but this phone is gr8 for music lover like me !

please anyone should let me know what I can do about my N91...i try to open some image files and it keeps telling me "unable to open image"
Also, I cannot play my music again by pressing the play button on stand-by.
A friend of mine using an N-91 is also facing the same problem....what is wrong with this phone??? I am really confused.
I was using an n70 before and never faces any problem like this...please can someone help out???

When the other currently released phones are showin shamelessly their false efforts on video recordin, camera, etc N91 has proven it is the world's number one heavy fashioned music phone.... to be cont'd

Finest piece of technology. Seems like people either love it or hate it. I LOVE IT. Use it as GPS in a car with LD-3W. At home with AD-42W for music. I bet people don;t know a half of the features that this thing can do. Shame that Nokia is not putting enough effort and money to ad those features. Sound quality is the best. Nobody can beat it today.

To the last three posts

It seems you may all have old software on your devices. Go to the Nokia SW updater abd get the latest (2.10 or 2.20 for N91, 3.10 for N91 8GB)

I purchased N91 but I feel disheart to see that it is much inferior than others and am more depressed that it has no infra red device. its not a good set.

One of the worst phones I have ever used. hangs frequently and quite often gives a "memory low" message which more or less disables the phone. Transferring data to the hard drive requires a computer as it cannot be done manually on the phone. The screen is poor and the colour schemes awful. Avoid buying this phone if you can. I wish someone from Nokia would read this comment and take action by withdrawing this very expensive lemon from the market.

Last and final ---a big no to nokia N91..i am using this phone from last 3 months. The phone hang frequently and everytime you have to get the battrey out to restart the phone.there is certanly some technical fault with the model ad hope nokia accept it sincerly and call back all its N91 from the market.. and my next will certainly not be Nokia

Here is what i know: The N91 8GB has

- 8GB (ok :))
- Bluetooth Stereo
- Visualizations in th emusic player
- UPNP via WLAN
- Improved battery life and HDD sw
- New Gallery
- A download app that allows you to download PODCAST, Office Viewers, etc
- Sleek black color
- HDD tools expanded to include defrag, scan disk
- Device scans the HDD automatically on power up if you did not shut it down properly and corrects any minor issues
- Camera quality seems a bit better
- Web browser seems a better
- WLAN seems better

Hi, i have just sold my Nokia N91 4GB and bought a Nokia N91 8GB, apart from the colour and hard drive size, what are the differences? better audio qualiy? louder?

Hi everybody
could someone help me decide which phone to buy... between the n91.5 and the n73ME. the n91.5 is a version of n91 sold in my country which doesnt have 3G and Wifi remaining features are same as 4GB n91. n73ME has both 3G and wifi though I wont be using either. main difference is the superior 3.2mp cam with carl zeiss and flash compared to the 2mp of n91 and the secondary cam for video calls. also screen of n73 is bigger and has higher resolution. i take a lot of pics but also record videos and i read in the reveiews that videos were choppy on n73 but great on n91. the main use will be to listen to music and watch music videos... the n91 wins absolutely in audio quality but the videos i guess would be better on the n73 screen. the much higher memory of n91 is a big point in its favour... but does the HDD on n91 give a lot of problems?? Had the n91 a better cam OR a better screen it would have tipped the balance in its favour but as it has neither it is evenly balanced... So could someone give me their opinion on which phone to buy coz i will be stuck with it for the next 3 yrs atleast.
Note cost of n91 4GB in india is less than n73ME thx to price drop

i love this ugly ugly phone.... but the screen quality makes me want to cry with sorrow.... it took nokia soooo long to release this phone, why couldnt they have made it worth the wait?

N91 8GB and 4GB : Music playback is approx 10 Hrs (if you are not making too many phone calls. internet surfing etc).

N95 vs N91 8GB: Music quality on the N91 and N91 8GB beats all phones thus far (even the iphone since they have clamped down the maximum volume like their ipods). N95, N73 ME, SE Walkmans all could not beat the N91 (overheadset).

The speed of the N91 is slowr only when first accessing the HDD, once the application is open of the HD RAM is loaded its good. So for Music N91 is much much better, if you want GPS and a better screen and camera than pick N95

As for "N91 is weaker than iphone" hmmmm

1) UI and Screen - Iphone is better
2) WLAN - N91 8GB allows UPNP and a VOIP client (3rd party sw). N91 is better
3) 3rd Party SW- N91 allows the installation of Java and SISX files from many different companies - an open a free system. Iphone only allows Apple programs (a closed system worse than microsoft) N91 is better
4) Battery Life - Iphone has a bigger (ie ore millamp hours) battery so i assume it gets better battery life. Iphone wins ?
5) 3.5 mm Jack - Ironically I believe phones started adding 3.5mm jacks to copy the success of IPODS where people can use whatever headset they prefer and then iphone makes it such that only the inbox headphone works. N91 is better
6) 3G - N91 is better, iphone has no 3G
7) Camera - 2 mpix so its a tie there
8) MMS, IM - N91 is better (iphone has none)
9) Design - Iphone i suspect wins here. I happen to really like the N91 style, it has an edge however the mainstream "mom and pop, two kids and a dog -type" will go for the iphone hands down
10) Prices - Well the N91, N91 8Gb is an older device now and I have seen the N91 selling for 140 UK pounds and the N91 8GB selling for 210 UK pounds. Compared to iphone which will eventually follow the AT&T Model here in the UK I suspect. SOmething like O2 2 year contract at 400 UK pounds. N91 wins here
11) Music quality - Its about even here. N91 is a bit louder from what i have read but its a toss up - a tie here
12) Battery - N91 can be replaced for approx 40 UK Lbs. Iphone after 350-400 charge cycles people muct send in there device (get a replacement for 29/95 USD a day) to get a new battery. To me at least Id say N91 wins here.

So there are pros and cons to each one.
