Why buy all those things when you can buy a phone with all that in ONE ;-)

This phone is an absolute disgrace. I would rather die than be seen with this. Why spend loads of money on a phone which looks disgusting when you can get a small phone for barely anything which does all the jobs a phone needs to do, call out, recieve calls and send texts, buy a good digital camera instead of resorting to mobile phone cameras, lens quality will ALWAYS be better in a mid-range digital camera than a high end mobile phone. And buy a MP3 player, more memory, easier to scroll though, better design.

Pappy,
I figured out how to remove smart2go, I had to format my HD, I figured that the app (which is stored on the internal mem) was linked with the map (which is stored on the HD) so I formatted my HD & then I was able to remove smart2go safely. Now my problem is to install Tom Tom. When I select yes to install the app it will get to 100% & then say "unable to install" error. I've tried putting the install file on my HD & internal mem & I get the same error.
ANY THOUGHTS?!?!
Thanks AE86

Pappy,
I want to remove smart2go off my N91 & it keeps saying "removing failed" how can I remove smart2go? And when I'm in the app manager the icon is a red color beside the smart2go icon, while my 3 other games have blue icons. What is the difference between the red & blue icon?
Thanks

Kinda disagree wid TSEPZ.
This OS 9.1 has fewer applications [yet increasin] than series 60 2nd edition,8.1a or 8.1b.

To Gerry
the N70 is a great phone BUT the N91 is greater lol, the N91 runs a newer OS than N70 which has OS v8.1 the N91 has v9.1 which means better applications etc. . .for your phone,so get the N91 and if you can try get hold of the 8GB MUSIC EDITION then get it ASAP!

I know there are some tehnicl issues, like storing data ove 1,5Gb, blocking when trying to send a sms/mms without the sms patch, HDD disconecting while working, and so on, but, on a general idea, it is a great phone! All you need, it has it! I have this phone for over 6 months now and we get allong quite nice, once you get to know it at least 80% of him.. :)
I am very pleased of him! It definatly worth his money!

sometimes the ones who are responsible with these occuring problems are us.. we are aware of the flaws of this phone, that makes it fragile (i guess, every phone has its own issues). my point is, we the users should be more aware of the limitations of our phone. we shouldn't recklessly install anything on it without taking into consideration the effects these applications may have on the phone..
another thing is when doing something on it i.e. upgrading the firmware, we should remember also the other things that should be done with it like reformatting the HDD and phone memory.. we shouldn't do anything incomplete..
as with the recurring problems, try to read some of the posted opinions as it may have been already discussed and had already been given a solution..
just my two cents..

To jagz
When you get that close applications thingy it means the RAM is used up (you may have had many apps open that sis not free up all the RAM when you closed them). It happens sometomes when the phone has been on a while (N91 8GB it happens less). Just power it off/on and that will clear it

Hi Irritated (Okay, Not okay)
I have transferred Gigabytes many times over back and forth using USB mass storage. The only "way" Nokia tell us to avoid is using PC suite to transfer it (PC suite has been a issue for 3+ years in Nokia).
You updated the SW but you say its slow? I suggest formatting the HDD. Also take a look at these tips

Mine says "HD NOT AVAILABLE! HELPPP! I saved for a long time for this fone :( It's new and all, what happened ? I don't think I can exchange this thing (in my country I have to go through all kinds of hoops).
I updated the FW to the newest (just now). Hoping the HD will be available again.

Don't buy this POS. The HD always corrupts if you don't transfer and do other stuff 'their' way. How should I know that I can't transfer music via USB Mass Storage ?? And that would always corrupt.
It looks nice BUT it gets dust inside the screen sooo easily!!!!
Stay away from this phone! :( :( I thought this was a keeper. And WTH does this phone have high rating ? Those are just SOME of the flaws I mentioned. Small internal memory ? HELLOOOO!!! And I'm sure I think of something else.
