I did a software update for Nokia N91 from ver 1 to ver 2.2, after the update the phone was working fine, however the alarm failed to go off the next morning and to my horror the phone was dead. The phone does not come on or show that it is charging, can anyone tell me how to get the phone back on again and working? The guys at Nokia said that an update via the internet should NOT be done to any phone as the software update kills the phone!There as a bug in the software. I have to send the phone away for repairs and it can take up to eight weeks. Icant wait that long. PLZ help!!

Too many software problems, not very happy with this phone. Also get "memory full" message constantly even though I had it upgraded twice. Very disappointed...

Pappy,
dont think so.Nokia clearly stated 5700 has dedicated audio chip.it has everythin to blow away n91 in every feature.N91 has to bring a massive change in its hdd,display and Ram,processor combination and nokia may not think to bring bout that change in n91 rather they revolunize their music edge through other model,even if it is not in 5700 then it might be other nseries phone.

Salut a tous,
today i wanna upgrade my n91,(with a 2.00.52 ver. yesterday i had 12 hangs!) however the last upgrade resulted to a dead phone,
but i cant format my hard drive since it is "not available",
whats the problem ???

Smart 2 Go. I had the same problem and it was not related to a sw update. I still have yet toget around to loading 2.20.
Try this. Dont use PC suite or download over the air to install but rather copy the SIS file to your HDD using USb mass storage drag and drop (I drop it in my "other" folder. Then use file manager on the N91 to clock on it and install.

So i've updated my fone with 2.20 & now my smart2go app doesn't load up anymore, it gets to 30-40% to loading the app & then it sez "it can not open application" & boots me back to the "my own" screen. So i tried to un-install it but it'll hang when it gets to 99.9% . i've tried to just re-install it then it'll tell me that i don't have enuff internal memory. I've cleared up than enuff space prior to the install.
I NEED HELP....

The 5700 (like the N91) also has a 3.5mm audio jack. I think it's common now to new music phones. i just wonder what they mean when they say audio chip.

Hi
N91 and N91 8GB will continue to win in Audio quality against SE and against Nokia 5700 (which has no music chip) etc.

Just have learnt 5700 has no direct 3.5 mm jack.
N91 still edges out.

i am planning to buy n 91 but many people including the the manager at nokia show room told me tht nokia n91 hang very much....so i request the user of this phone plz tell me wheter this phone hangs or not......waiting for ur opinion

Regarding the new-SW 2.20.008 improvements:
1-Some Java games are running now, which didn't run with the previous SW.
2-Improved RAM freeup, no need for restarting the phone to refresh RAM.
3-I think the external speaker is little louder now.

the dedicated music chip is automatically goin to beat N91 as it is newer.N91 has to upgrade itself if it still thinks it can compete wid 5700.

any N91 pro USER.. my fone keeps on showing the message, "memory full, close any application then restart.." also there was one time the unit can't locate the Hard Drive.. im still at version 1.1 but im planning to upgrade ASAP.. how can i locate my RAM? also, if i upgrade it to 2.20, will i have to reformat the hard drive as well? thanks!
