No hanging problems for me in a 7 months of N91 usage. Only I wish if it had a stronger battery, but it's tolerable (1-2 days depending of how heavy I use the conectivity and media functions)

i upgraded my n80 and poport moved a bit and now it says contact supplier, but anyway ive had n73 as well plus 6630 and 6680 and so on you get the picture and using s/e k800 at moment and its a breathe of fresh air to use with no bugs crashes,,now that may sound like a s/e fan but have sold p900 for p990 5 months ago and sold p990 for 75 quid because of crashes,,wat i would like people to do is go back to non smartfone for a few hours or 1 day and see wat your missing..I miss my fave series 60 apps but these non smartfones are catching up with toolbars and dedicated area were you can see all your running apps its brilliant..Of coarse i will go back to s/60fones but for now k800 is really good with massive battery life,,also sister has n6131 wich is series 40 and except for no way to adjust britness its full of apps even a scientific calculater + stopwatch wich even in my n73 still was not available and ive sent off 4 emails over a year ago before series60 third edition came out for them to put a stopwatch in but they havent so nokia dont listen

Have it about 2 months. Have just left it in to be repaired. I am very careful with my phone, but the back black cover decided to come away from the front of the phone. I know it is not a real problem yet but looks to be getting progressively worse; dust is getting inside and looks real bad. Camera is very poor in poor light. Slider looks to have some of the plating coming away revealing a black undercoat: resembling a tar spill. Keypad is flimsy in that it moves as you type. All in all for the money I paid I feel it is a cheap handset!

@desiree
I dont own a n91 but my friend does. And i have the n70 music edition.
I think the speaker is DAMN LOUD. And of course it has bluetooth, basicly it's the same with the original n91 but with a special keypad dedicated to mp3 player and an additional 8gb memory.
But the thing is my friend after having n91 for about 2 months or so went to sell it and change it for SE W850i. He said that the phone lagged and freezed all the time.

Hi Nick
That sounds strange. Perhaps you should try the sw upgrade again?

Bout the N91 in January -- stopped working after the screen went, got it repaired, 3 days after getting it back, the screen went again. Got a replacement and now the phone wont charge, wont turn on, and the screen is gone. Going in for my money back tomorrow. I DO NOT reccomend this phone.

N91 8GB - Has slightly better sw, 8GB, Bluetooth Stereo, Next version Music player (visualizations etc), Next version Gallery, A downloader app that allows you to download new apps (poscast, office etc).
The price must have come down now? Try negotiating "hey you want to move this to make room for N95 on your shelf give me a deal" :)

You can go to the N91 support page and in the FAQ search type in "videos" and it will answer your question.
Here is the answer from there:
Q: What Video Formats does the Nokia device support? What settings should I use to encode videos for my Nokia device?
A:
Nokia device incorporates a media player that can support many different formats both in local playback and streaming (3gp, 3g2, mp4, rm). It???s important to note that the video screen size is 176x144 (qCIF) in normal mode and 208x176 in full screen mode. Keep this in mind when encoding video content. The best experience will be when you can match the resolution pixel by pixel. Other resolutions supported are 128x96 (sub-qCIF), 176x96, 160x120, 352x288 (CIF) The maximum bitrate is affected by the number of frames per second, the size of the video and the quality (bitrate) of the encoding. The higher the bitrate the bigger the files. For most applications a frame rate of 11-15 fps is good enough, 20-30 fps is needed for fast moving videos. Higher bitrates in general create better quality videos but larger files. If the bitrate is too high there could be a drop-off in framerate during playback. AMR (narrow band NB or wide band WB) produces smaller files but the audio quality is low. This is best used for voice tracks or when optimizing for file size. For best audio quality use mpeg4 AAC audio. A bit rate of 48 kbps in AAC produces good quality audio for most situations. At low bitrates (e.g. 64kbps) MPEG4 video codec produces sharper pictures than h263. In order to encode videos to enjoy in your Nokia device you can use several encoding applications. Nokia PC Suite???s Multimedia Player allows you to convert some file types to .3GP in various resolutions and bitrates, for the most part the Multimedia Player will optimize for file size, the audio format is converted to NB-AMR 8kHz Mono. Other commercial converters are available, when encoding you can use the following formats:
- 3GP, 3G2. (3GPP, 3GPP2)
- Video: Several resolutions up to CIF (352x288) up to 25 fps with a maximum recommended bitrate of ~ 350 kbps. Use h263 or MPEG4 encoder. Best results are when using VBR (Variable bit rate)
- Audio: NB-AMR, WB-AMR or MPEG4 audio in mono or stereo, up to 128 kbps @ 44.1 KHz. Sample rate.
Sample settings:
- Video: 176x144 (normal screen) or 208x176 (for full screen), Mpeg4 or h263 15 fps, 350 kbps bitrate or VBR
- Audio: Mpeg4aac stereo 48 kbps bitrate, 44.1 KHz sample rate, MP4
This is a different container for the video and audio use the same settings as with 3gp or 3g2.
- RM Realvideo codec 8, 9 and 10 is supported. Bitrates of up to 128 kbps.
- .rmvb (variable bitrate) is supported.
- At this time Realvideo 7 is not supported. For video streaming Helix server 6 is not supported.

Sounds like the shop/service centre is "challenged" to put it nicely. Nokia contracts out their service work so it could be you have hit a bad centre. Take a look at the tips I posted above for sha maybe they can solve the mystery
best of luck
