i bought n95 this morning.
it has everything you want. battery is not a big problem for someone how need 5mp camera, wlan, youtube, gps, and brilliant screen quality !
you can see in nokia side the new nokia n98 and nokia n99..thanks
Quit talking crap. The reason why NOKIA released N95-8gb, N82, N96 etc. . . Is to give its customers VARIETY! The N95 is NOT obselet, it is STILL getting great FW updates and full support from NOKIA, something the P1 doesn't get much of from Sony Ericsson. You sound like you're trying to convince yourself to thinking you've made a good choice when you havent :-) get ready for an unpleasant rollercoaster ride with SE, they will drop the P1 like its hot when the P5 gets released and leave the P1 users stranded just like they did with the P990 users last year when they released the P1.
and one thing i bought my N95 juz a year ago now they have N95 8GB, N82, N96 so my N95 is already obsolete not like P1i it was release a year ago but yet its the top of the line of the P series and that P5 well it would take a year maybe before they release that monster!
i was using an N95 for 6 months and decided to switch to P1i well i juz want a new look and im fed up with the slide of N95. some of my friends told me that im a fool cuz i did switch from 5MP to 3.2MP no GPS and no HSDPA but the truth is 5MP and 3.2MP well its kinda the same to me well as i look at the pictures i tried to compare it. when it comes to quality its the same as 5MP the only difference is the 5MP pictures are way big but who cares? i dont print large pictures and the flash is way better than N95. GPS? well forget it you cant use it bcoz N95 has a very poor battery performance i even update the firmware but yet still its very poor on battery it would not last for 32 hours. then HSDPA? well who cares? i use WIFI for internet browsing the reason you have HSDPA is for faster internet connection N95 is kinda hard to use on internet browsing cuz u have to press the buttons and everythin not like P1i it has a stylus for faster browsing. the only thing i hate on P1i its not a user friendly phone. hey admit it or not its kinda hard to use compare to nokia phones and the picture viewing is very slow!!! compare to N95 its lightning fast! bottomline is having a phone well it will depend on your needs if your an internet freak and always need some office editing, average lover of pictures and videos use a P1i but if your into pictures, user friendly phone, videos use N95 on my part i really like both but i love to surf thru WIFI so my choice is P1i and the battery is way better than N95!
@BW The ones you saw on eBay that say they do not support GPS are probably of Chinese manufacter. I saw some of those too. I'm not sure why those ones do not support it. I'd be glad the sellers were honest about it not supporting that feature rather than they just assumed people reasearched the various submodels of this phone. Wikipedia has some useful info on the various versions of the phone.
ya its very nice i like it so much.i want to know about remainder option,i dont no where it is pls
I am a big fan of nokia.i had 3310,3120,6020,n70,n73.now what should be the perfect update from the almost almighty n73.i want a more stable and bug free firmware.also good sound quality.i travel a lot so i would prefer good games.i also take nighttime photos.can anyone suggest me what shall be perfect?N82 or N958gb.brad^_^
this phone is my first model 3g,,,,,,, good camera, good user inetrface, easy conectivity to TV or PC, etc. About the PC suite is 100 % ok,,,, in summary is THE SUPER PHONE
can anyone help me? Do you know if I have to pay AT&T for using GPS function? If not, how does it work? because I saw many N95 on Ebay said they couldn't use GPS which made me confuse. Many thanks!
Hi, this mine 23 nokia and mine 3th N and i have now an n 95 .
All mine Nokia's is super,i dont by other.
i just got nokia n95 with t-mobile uk but my concern is that when i checked the firmware using *#0000# and found out that the firmware that i got is v12.0.013 and checking on this forum, i find people talking about v21 something. i tried checking for latest version using software updater but it tells me that i have got the latest version.
please advise me as it is after a long time that i got nokia and am not familiar with the functions as much. it seems to be slow as well. please can someone also tell me upto how much memory it can handle?
Thanks in advance, looking forward for the answers.
hi all. I bought this phone and its working fine. Can you tell me from where can I get Themes ?
Hey tommy if you want the new firmeware go to this page http://diego69.wordpress.com/s...are-2000015/ its very easy the only detail its that is in spanish jajajajaja but use a translator online and its done... good look
So i just downloaded the latest firmware from Nokia but how would i attain the nokmote ,rotateme and rock & scroll programs.
this is my 3rd n95 , the reason behind this is that many a time i have tried to move away to something else e.g test the waters with other manufactures ( i am a phone shop manager) , each time i have ended back the the n95 , its a very feature packed phone with more features than any person needs , awesome camera , good gps ( using garmin x.t. mobile ) , excellent internet browsing capapbilities , nice form factor.
over all a very good phone , early firmware was a bit rubbish and battery life at the time was poor , new firmware loaded = one very well made handset.
more than pleased with mine .
nice one nokia its a blinder.
dear tommy...you could download the latest firmware if you install the nokia pc suite which comes with the n95 bundled in the box if the pc suite that you're firmware isnt updated it will it will ask you if you want to upgrade it
btw...to know your current firmware type in *#0000#
at sir toky...
though I dont own an n82 there were numerous reports that n82's speakers are on the low side....meaning...its volumes isnt as loud as that of the n95
and n82's keypads are kinda on the small side
so if you have big fingers...youll probably have a hard time texting compared to the n95...
but n82 is a very very good phone...no qualms about its build quality so far ^_^
