Please consider all the above few negative points before buying. This is a truth for N95
No Touch screen? I think Nokia is not confident in making touch screen mobiles or they want to make profit, anyway we are forced to use the old keypad. You cannot see the screen in bright sun, the screen get blackened make poor visibility even the display brightness is set to 100%. Battery backup less than a day, if you use wlan/mp3. If not using battery charge will last for hardly 2 days Application manager hangs the phones several times. This is a serious issue, most of the customer doesn't know sis support not there. only sisx n jar support. No USB charging, only thr 230v supply, cannot charge ur cell from laptop. See Sony Errision & Motorola, how good in charging the battery using USB. Bluetooth paring is too slow n transfer speed is too slow. This is applicable for those who use bluetooth in data transfer You cannot transfer files via blutooth more than 160MB in old N95. I don't know about new N95. Camera lens is not covered in new N95, Old one have a projected cover. Accumulation of dirt n getting scratch in lens area in ur precious 5 mp camera. Accessories are too costly. keypad will get loosen very fast, no life for the keypad, nokia have to do some thing for this. Without good keypad whatz the use of mobile. Not user friendly for browsing net in wireless lan. keypad problem. Poor battery life, depends on the usage above said. No option to kill the application, if the phone hangs, u need to remove the battery to reboot. This is shame for all N serie. Sim card is behind the battery. Can't turn off the network when phone is switched on. Advantage for Motorola new series like Rockr E6. small keypad make it difficult in typing. Calender entry is not as user friendly. Battery backup only 2 days. Talktime 4 hrs. Mp3 only 5 hrs. Call are getting rejected frequently when the buttons gets pressed inside the pocket, even the phone is locked. Phone will dial itself in pocket, if it is not key pad locked. Sliding get loosed so fast. mine was loosened in a month use. Interfacing N95 with our pc/laptop is very tedious, It take time for both in bluetooth n thr USB. Transfer rate through USB is slow. Battery cover is too thin, the clip can get break easily. Thickeness is more for this cell(21mm). TV out, audio output fails. video does'nt hva good quality in TV Out. FM Sound output is too low. Bass Boosting is not good. U will not feel the boosting in bass. Overall feature ratings are poor. I will rate 6 of 10. Need more features like Business card reader, Office editor, USB charging, touch screen, FM stereo output.
Office word will not show pictures n tables, No power management feature, Video flickers and drags in night mode, slow bluetooth n USB tansfer, No body think that you will clear pictures always in its 5 mp camera, its not a digital camera, its a mobile. Why am telling this, I have compared Sony 5 mp digital camera pictures with that of N95 5mp pictures. The picture clarity is for Sony's 5 mp cam though one picture size is 4.5MB jpeg, whereas the picture size of N95 5mp picture is 800Kb max in jpeg (less than 1MB). Here it goes, the jpeg picture quality is reduced if the picture is compressed less than 1 MB. N95 could retain the actual picture quality rather goes for image compression loosing the jpeg informations. There is no option to vary the compression or settings to improve the picture quality with increase in size of each captured image.

I'm very happy to announce that I've made my permenent phone the N95. I've never had any problems ever and none so far with this new handset. I also have to say that the N95 american 8GB version has been approved by the FCC so North Americans will be able o get their hands on one soon.
Nokia have now just released the Nokia N95-3 an it looks a total improvement from the first N95 but its only available in the U.S.A why have Nokia just made it available for the Americans, its unlocked an hope it will work o.k in Europe i will try my best to find a website so i can buy the N95-3 as the N95 with 8gb of Memory will be really expensive i bet from Nokia.,www.nokiablog.com is the place to see the new N95-3 review an pictures an it looks really good
Is the sound quality of the phone better than the Nokia N91? Is video and photo capabilities better than those of the LG Viewty? Please someone tell me
i m planning to buy n95 but confused between n95 nd n92. guyz plz tell me that is the n95 has dvb.thanks in advance.
cool handset with lot of features including carlzeiss 5 megapixel but poor battery life. .i am using it and i am impressed with all its features specially maps and gprs speed is brilliant.magneficent mobile n95 ,nokia will always remain no 1.
Got my phone last month and was using it for less than two weeks when its sytem hanged. I cannot operate the phone anymore. I brought it to a Nokia Care Center last Oct. 7 and after a series of tests, they told me that the unit's motherboard needs to be replaced. I don't know if it's factory defect but it took me one month before it is repaired. Tonight I'm going to get it from Nokia Care and I'm excited because I want its many features. My only comment is that it requires charging almost everyday but that's not a problem with me. It also slides easily even if not intended as when I'm inserting it in my pant's pocket. Overall, I still lovew my N95 very much. I hope the system will not hang again.
Its an excellent device. Best so far with performance and features. The only down side is batter which is consumed faster since it is drained if you are heavy user. I have to keep an extra Nokia 1100i for business calls for longer talk time.
Build quality could be better and the os has it's limitations but all in all the n95 is a good handset.P.S. drop the 'best phone in the world'...power users would rate some WM6 as the best,a trendsetter might rate a prada as the best. Each to their own!
I am amazed by how many people have all this issue with this phone.I have this baby for about 3 months now and everything works alright, listen to mp3 for about 30-40 minutes a day, usage of blutooth, take a few shots and my battery lasted till the next day
if not aleast till night time.so it seems like everyone got a different n95 ,anyway
BEST phone ever.
by the way, to the guys who always sour grape, just buy urself a nokia 5110 or a SE T200.sure u will have no problem with this phone.
i have my n95 bought it in an authorized store.no problem at all!every thing in the world deteriorate.its up to you on how u
take careof ur things to last it longer.if u take CENTRUM everyday becoz its complete,so as i carry this phone to make my day complete.
Its about time nokia think more of the phone side feature. They advertise n series as a computer, but this is a phone. A phone is used to make phone calls and must have long standby hours to be useful. Ashame nokia.
I can have mine on all day in standby mode from 6:15 am in the morning till when i come home from work at 5:00 pm and still make a few phone call's, bluetooth on, go on wi fi for 5 minutes, listen to 2 song's and the phone be down maybe 1 maybe 2 bar's.
Excellent phone. Amazing features. One major problem though, the battery lasts about 6 hours tops when in standby mode, and far less when the phone is actually used.
This is after 2 battery replacements, extensive check up of the phone in Nokia's lab (working as intended), and a user that knows how to make sure there are no open applications and how to switch off the wifi and the bluetooth. Since I can't walk around all day with a charger, the phone gets a big thumbs down from me for the sheer reason I need a phone that actually stays on at least from morning to nightfall.
