I work for Nokia reatil in UK, we have been told by our head office to tell customers that the N95 will be available fron early january, but in actual fact it wont be out til late Feb '07 (they just want customers to get fed up of waiting and get something else... Hmmm!)
Also, the price is advertised at 550 euros (about £380) but the N93 is currently retailing for £504.99, so N95 I think will be a lot more than the original price estimate (I recon at least £450), which is crap!

the features are good..but if you'd ask me i'd really prefer if its a bar type.. slide type phones easily gets broken...since the ribbon wire connecting in between is easily damaged...specially if you drop it...it will really be hard to fix and thus after one drop it may be obsolete..i really consider the fact that a rotating camera or screen would be nice yet it's the wear and tear i'm more interested too..i hope nokia's future design would also consider durability..

Doukan: I just got in touch with Page computers via their online chat support. Guess what? The phone there is really the 9500 and *not* the N95. Their IT people made a mistake and they will correcting all info there ASAP. Apparently they entered all info from N95 on the 9500 page. They do not have the N95 in stock an they don't know anything about N95 or when and if it will be available... back to the starting point... ;)

Sorry but am I the only one who's little bit puzzled by the fact that it says "installed Maps application covering over 100 countries" and then it only has 160 megabyte of internal memory???

I have done business with them before(i bought my n80 before official release from them and also a m600 and a camera). But all i know is, they have good customer service(you can call and reach them actually) and they have good customer reviews on other comparison sites(such as bizrate, nextag etc) I am not an advocate of the site, but every single day for the last 3 weeks ive been searching n95 all over the internet to see if a vendor actually has it and they are the first site i encountered that actually has the phone in stock. I am not in position to say they actually have the phone or not. What i am doing is like giving positive feedback on ebay and recommending the seller. Im just saying i bought three things from them before at 3 different times and it all worked out well. And i know there are thousands of people waiting for this phone like crazy, so i just wanted to let everybody know.

THE WAIT IS OVER! I found N95 in stock after weeks of research. and i am 100% sure it is not scam, because that website has been around for quite long time with good reputation. I also bought my previous phone from them, and i just talked to their sales department and they told me they have 20 of them in stock currently..the website is http://www.pagecomputers.com and the phone is listed as Nokia 9500 for some reason, but when i talked to them they said it is actually N95 and for some reason, they listed it as 9500. Anyways, if you don't believe the legitimacy of the website, just google them and see. And no, I am in NO WAY affiliated with them. Im just a "over-excited" N95 fan. Check it out now, thank me later!!!

What about the logistics of the phone? The collaborative pyrotechnics are fairly unstable i've heard. Does the GPS contain centra-intennial capability? Does this work in highly magnetic loacted field or must it be dislocated? I need to know this before i make my purchase

I, like many here, am eagerly awaiting for a release of this phone. Unfortunately, there are a number of scammers who are preying on that fact, attempting to make a quick buck. Please note that if a seemingly legit website only accepts western union payment or any other non-reversible transaction method, it's probably not legitimate. Another sign that a website is probably scamming is that lack of a secure checkout page. The web address of a secured checkout page should start with https, not just http. Also you can look for the lock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your browser. The only legitimate site that was selling the n95 that I know of was http://www.cti-miami.com, but they seem to have run out of stock of the phone. Hopefully this post will save a few people the frustration and the lost money from dealing with the scam websites.
