HELP! Can anyone who owns this help me?? I juz bot this phone yesterday and have been trying damn desperately to get the GPS signal going. It kept saying 'GPS signal unavailable' and I've tried in the car, near the window if indoors, open air, whatever places so long as I'm not underground or something but still that message kept coming up. Did I miss anything or do I need to trigger some additional settings to get the GPS going? Or something's wrong with this phone already? I think nokia service centre not gonna help much and hope I can get some advice here. Thanks in advance!
SE W800i and all of SE's have the most pour quality of phones and you think w800i is louder and clearer than n73...whats wrong with you!!!and u say n95 is not loud u r jsut wrong its loud and even louder than n73 imo so what the hell are you talking about
n91 sound quality is not loud nor is it clear!!!i can just close the speakers of n91 with my thumb and u will hear nothing! n95 has dual stereo speakers and is the loudest phone up till now with n73 aswell......nokia n91 is not loud and not clear like all of u say...and n95 and n73 are loud and clear
have ben using it for the past 3days...nothing major as yet....but battery life could be improved....so far had charged it 3 times....maybe bcos it is new...pics taken are awesome....
My comment for the new Nokia N95 is perfect man. Firstly it is packed with 5 megapixel camera. WiFi and GPS included in the phone bluetooth enabled tv-output it is really worth the money to get this kind of phone with all the function already pre-loaded inside the phone. Last word for this newly launch Nokia Phone. You're Perfect Man.
Review of the GSM/UMTS smartphone Nokia N95
I've had a lot of Nokia phones before. And based on experience, my nokia phones made in Finland isn't so durable, the hardware easily breaks, the joystick, slider. They don't last for more than 2 years. Nokia phones made in China or Asia are much more durable and the hardware workmanship is more long lasting. That's based on my experience.
damn got this phone about three day's ago i must say i like it alot but i hate the gps you have to leave it on for awhile like ten minute's for you to even work the damn thing and it's not constant gps it lag's hope firmware help's this issue soon that one of the main reason why i fing bought this phone camera good and all no reddish colors like mentioned in other post mine is made from finland so it has the best workmanship there only buy from finland made product better build and quality
i got this n95 for a week now, alot of great feautes in this one, but also alot of nonsense features that people dont really need, and im disgusted with the sound quality!!! man the sound really sucks! before i had a SE w900 w/c has very superb sound quality and i replace it w/ n73 music edition a year ago, the sound quality is pretty good but not as better as my old SE W900i, but my n73 hangs alot, so i replaced it w/ this n95 w/c i long waited, but now it really makes my head shake w/ the sound quality, really bad. i know alot of you guys will disagree, its because you never owned a walkman phone b4 to see the big difference in music quality. music is really important to us because its the most used feature, wherever you are, lying in bed, on a bus, having a break at work, you listen to your music, but this fone really will not please music lovers.. and i think with also so many unused, its also not user friendly.
i will definitely sell this as soon as possible nd stick w/ my n73 and my old SE w900i, and wait for nokia 5700, or another new n-series music edition, or maybe a new SEwalkman.
I7x@ you talk crap ! My slider is just fine and the music is superb indeed. Try other head phones. The camera is best in the market by far. Show me any other cellphone with 640x480 video in such a small and light package (is not a brick unlike my previous device - SE p990i). Also the Gps works like a charm - my work buddies could not believe to see my cellphone has GPS too :) The only problem is the high price - because the N95 is so much sought after, the 'poorer' buyers may have to wait a little longer for the price to droop :( Well done Nokia :)
Hi my phone is not as loose as what you have mentioned when touch the screen it can move a bit when either side to either part... my set fits quite well....
im planning to upgrde my sek800... to dis n95.. shud i????! comments plss....
maybe when nokia comes up with touch screen interface like iphone, and improve on the camera specs ( megapixels is not everything, it is misleading )......then it be good to upgrade .....this phone is not really worth so much to upgrade as of now...
I am seriously thinking about buying this phone, however; can someone tell me how the gps works. do I need to subscribe? do i need the internet ?
Good phone.but the price is a bit expensive.
i expect it will fall down .just wait haha
to the guy who left the comment that you can run windows vista on the phone, how? also to everyone else recently left comments about the slider, no problems with my slider or rebooting, its perfect. everything is perfect
i got my Nokia N95 from 02 yesterday
its a pile of junk and is going back!
i love the phone, but my slider is very very loose from POOR Workmanship, there is just too much give from side to side, i have also got that annoying high pitch whiney noise!
when compared to the exact N95 i have on Orange, the 02 handset is very very poor, the orange slider is very smooth and theres no wobbling at all!
if you lift the slider up to expose the keypad, and then press down on the 02 handset, there is too much wobbling...
so all the excitement about getting this phone has just been washed away!
im sending the orange one back as i joined them then cancelled coz 02 offered me a better deal...
i knew id get a dodgy handset, just my f****** luck!
have rang 02 already, they are sending another one out on a doorstep swap..
i aint letting the delivery driver go anywhere until i have checked the replacement!!
im gonna be sending my 02 N95`s back everytime until i find one thats as solid as the Orange Direct handset..
if it takes 5 - 6 exchanges from 02 then so be it, they will soon get fedup, and if they DARE moan, its GOODBYE!
im just appauled at NOKIA, its either stick it out and get "the perfect one" or just ditch Nokia altogether...
how can these shoddy handsets with terrible wobbly sliders be allowed out of their factory?
i have also just plugged 3 different types of QUALITY Headphones into the N95 and im shocked at how "average" the MP3 playback is..
thought it was meant to me a multimedia extravaganza?
i was kinda hoping it would be as good as my old Nokia N91 for Audio Qualty...but not a chance..
ELDAR has given a good review, im as dissapointed as all of you, the N95 just isnt as good, i wish we could have had the N80`s screen resolution with the N95`s 16 million colours, and also the N91 Audio Quality.. but alas, we can all dream!
I have to say i have read most of the post on here for about 2 weeks now... I picked up mine on Tuesday. The only problem I see is battery life.
All the posts banging on about sound quality are a non issue for me as I can use decent headphones and I can also now use the thing to listen to music on my Motorcycle now! I have some custom ear plugs which have speakers installed and they use a jack plug which will work with the phone. I never had that option with my Sony!
Also now I have lived with it for a few days I think there are idiots on here who have never even used the phone! I think it is getting negative feed back from people who are just out to knock the phone...... I have seen posts with negative comments about the camera but no one has backed up the issues with links to photos which show problems. At least I have posted image links!
If you are going to pick fault with the phone at least be someone who actually has one! The posts from the people who don't have one do stand out!
I have not had any issue with the GPS. I had to use it when we had a problem finding somewere on Saturday. It worked well enough. OK TomTom would be better as I have that installed on my PDA. I also have a F1 spec Bluetooth GPS reciever in my car and the phone works well with both the onboard and the remote units!
It is not a perfect smart phone but it is possibly the best compromise available. Just wish it was running windows 6.
So to the posts from the people who do not have or have never used the N95.... DON'T Post as you just look stupid! At least try the phone before you start castng opinions on a phone you know nothing about.
