The gps is a built-in function, so there is no charge to use the gps as is. If you desire extra features like voice or turn by turn directions, there will be an additional fee. There also will be an additional fee for loading extra maps. If anyone really wants to know about the n95, there is a tester on howard forums who actually has a prototype and has been answering all questions about the n95 for the last few weeks http://howardforums.com/showth...ht=nokia+n95
if the n95 is like the rest of the N-series it will be slow and everyone will want it and be so disappointed with the result. the N-73 is the same and the N-93 and N-80.
i work in the carphone warehouse and according to the nokia rep this phones release date is april 1st. how about that!!!
Can MAPS of other regions be uploaded? Can I have my personal maps onto the phone?
Just spoken to Vodafone UK about a phone upgrade. The Nokia N95 will be available from 2nd April. Price yet to be announced.
The Nokia N95 is definatly coming out in the Carphone Warehouse UK in MARCH.
Your Carphone Warehouse Team
I can only see two main disadvantages,
-the lack of optic zoom
but thats a fair sacrifice for its compact dimensions, we have to wait a looong long time for this beauty to hit the stores and i hope the price would be fair enough
(anything more than 850 Euros is outrageous)
This looks like the best prospect in the market, i hope we wont have to wait a year or more...
we in South africa will have it in 2 weeks making around the 13/14 march
disappointing camera at pre-production stage...
N Series Crash alot, and also you have to pay to use the GPS and maps
nokia rep bought me an n95 to see working.
as soon as purchased, do an immediate frimware update and the phone runs perfect. Nokia have learnt to make a N series phone that is FAST. no lag at all. screen is perfect. This is the first nokia ive seen and liked. apparntly wont be on sale retail in aus till after june :)
there is no exact release date however voda uk r saying 15th of march and for 02 it is april.
I got to touch a n95 prototype today!! It looks and feels amazing, i was shocked at how light and thin it was. But there were a coulple of things that annoyed me about the design. Firstly, the multimedia buttons are quite hard to push due to there size and material. The slider is also not 'easy' to slide.
The rep said that it should be out by the end of march and they were pretty sure due to them being able to get a prototype in store!! good news.
Hey.. i've heard that the battery only lasts a few hours due to the many applications running on this phone... especially when using GPS... is this true?
